The African American Alliance of CDFI CEOs' 2025 Annual Impact Report, Unapologetically Us: Five Years of Power, Progress & Purpose, marks a milestone year: five years since The Alliance was formally incorporated as a national intermediary for Black-led community development financial institutions. The report chronicles how a movement that began with 22 founding CEOs has grown into a 129-member network spanning all 50 states and the District of Columbia, one that has deployed capital, reshaped the national narrative around Black-led CDFIs, and built the infrastructure to sustain that work for the next generation. Released amid a defining leadership transition, it is both a celebration of what has been built and a declaration of resolve for what comes next.
