About: “Open up Pandora’s box” Smart Green Space aims to provide a unique experience for their visitors/customers by enabling them to hand-pick the freshest, premium quality, and nutrient rich green produces.

Farm Area with full-height glass enclosure is located at the center to showcase the new type of farming and bringing a new type of lifestyle to the public. The design concepts of “Futuristic” and “Immaculate” are adopted to strengthen the

The color scheme of the design mainly used palm white, metallic colour to represent the cleanliness and youthful spirit of the image and Farmacy. The high contrast of black and white is introduced to create visual impact infographic on the glass wall and along the visitor journey.

Material selection: We would apply the green material on different area that people can touch, feel and enjoy the space with green material, we hope the visitors can understand the green lifestyle is also interesting and meaningful from the feel and touch in the space.

To maximize the functionality and flexibility of the space we designed the movable furniture to let it transform. We provided 4 different settings of different scenarios that the client will happen in the space. Also, we designed the program (gallery, private party, lecture, meeting space and etc) in a space that the users can transform the furniture function to create the space they want.

1.Entrance & Smart Play space To giving them the first impression and the first activities the vistors can get one ipad from the smart cabinet. A mini game will happen here to interact with the vistors.

2.3. Smart table and office area The smart desk can be the projection desk to show the infographic about the farm situration and the introduction. When they are not working, the desk can be transform into the office area.

4.Mini Bar / Kitchen We hope the pantry area can serve the mini dishes for visitors taste the fresh, enjoy the “Farm to Table” life style.

The Reception desk can changed into farm promoting area, dinning area, tasting area, that to attract people to enjoy the activities in the space.

The design language we applied in this project is repeating the oval shape, we mainly applied on the mirror, partition, the shelter, and the door design. Using different size, distance to create the variety and the visual interest.

We using the column as the spatial partition to divide the boys’ and girls’ area. We don’t use the full height wall to make is separate rather than applied the frosted glass, mirror and the column.

The advantage of the design will not block the lighting and the open area can help the space feel bigger. Besides, one more practical reason it can help the teachers monitoring the students prevent the happen made and teach them how they clean more efficiently.

About: This project is a part of the large-scale design for the Tsuen Wan harbor front area to recreate the new image for the communities. In the design scheme, we followed the previous “leaf“ theme as the backbone that developed the new design for the play area. And the requirement of this time we need to select and design more motion, action excited, inclusive play items for the kids who will come to our play area.

From the beginning, we try to develop a space with the concept of “connect“ and “experience“, so that we use the leaf pattern to define the play zone and use the wood decking to link up the overall space as a whole complete design.

Pattern and sub-theme design: The pattern of each zone is different since each of them representing its characters with various leaf patterns, veins, grow directions which will show on the signage that we can implant the knowledge from those subtle design elements.

And many unexpected scope changes, this project still developing and negotiating with different parties.

Play items Application To select the best items for the different need users and filling the lack of the play equipment in the distinct. We explored many plays item combinations that we can improve the inclusiveness in the different play zone.

There are not only select the play equipment are disabled-friendly but also we hope the design can break the boundary of elderly, kids and adult. That is what we called “connect & inclusive play”.

Green Achievement There are two strategies to promote the green elements in a subtle way in this play area project.

To design the AIPV canopy which is the translucent PV panel that can generate the electricity to integrate into the canopy space, which is providing the shading above the seat space, and the special form and design also make it one landmark in the playground.

Reuse the fallen timber. Since many trees will be fallen in this project, we hope we can reuse them and replace them in the seating area. Providing the “local tree will still be standing on the local park concept” to educate people where they from and what they are before to shape the sense of belonging of the park.

1. Theme Slide Tower Feature theme slide tower. We dressed up the leaf shape theme on the slide tower that creating the key feature and the most eyecatching point in the park. The design theme is the leaf, and we applied the worm and leaf elements that connecting the main theme of the park.

2. Motion Action Zone We designed the circulation of playing a different type of climbing, jumping, and sliding play equipment for the kids. In this space, we allow the children to play and run freely.

Also, the feature shading cover providing a cozy and chill area for the parents to have rest on the seating.

3. Feature Solar Canopy We designed another keys feature in the space is the AIPV canopy with an abstract leaf shape pattern. To promote and educate the environmental awareness and sustainable community, we designed the giant canopy with a solar PV system. We hope this canopy can generate electricity for the lighting in the playground area.

We designed the facade pattern and we have to make it real, since the width of the facade is 6 meter. So we break the model into different parts which become a modular system to help the contractor to make it into a real product.

Façade (shop front) Since our concept is about the movement and dynamic, we hope we can make some different on the façade which is the most eye-catching part on the store. We designed the subtle “S” sign on the twisted stripe pattern on the façade. Since the shop located at Yee woo street, and we did some studies about the movement and visual dynamic, also we built a 3D model for testing the visual effect since we have some design draft.

The visual interest of solid and void The block seat area is using the black frame to divide the seat space, for creating the special visual effect, we applied the same frame and we fill the bronze frame, the pattern glass and the frosted glass into the box, to form a cozy and luxury space in the restaurant.

Glamorous Loft Luxury & Roughness

The dark red brick wall is the most original and the raw material which is the main character in this design which is creating a strong warm and industrial feeling. The black iron frame we also selected one with the hairline finish to be the highlight. Cement wall, charcoal finish, draw grey and the dark walnut can also is a good choice to showing the RAW and contrast.

The overall interior space we applied the washed ash wood floor, can keep the warm tone colour but also keeping the raw texture with matt finish.

1. Living room & Corridor n the main corridor we designed 2 sets bookshelves with bronze details as the extension of the black colour. The advantage is for covering the column and also creating the visual division for the living room and the main corridor.

The black stripe partitions in the bookshelf can also lighten the mass in the space but also showing the elegance.

2. Dining area we also keeping one red brick wall as the extension from the outside into the dining area, which is recalling the material section concept. In the middle of the space we are using the green marble desk become the spatial focus, also the modern style chandelier also strength the focus in the space.

3. Dining area & Kitchen We designed the metal door with stripe pattern glass for splitting the kitchen and dining room. The stripe glass in the space also can bring the nice sun light from the kitchen to dining area. We applied the same dark grey finish on the storage cabinet and the kitchen desk, creating the connection of whole space. The pattern tiles in the kitchen can bringing the cheerful atmosphere into the dark and cool style kitchen.

1. Guest Bathroom For the mother and daughter, who looking for some fancy colour combination. The pale jade green and the pink terrazzo creating the hamony with the white marble. The bass metal details in the bathroom also creating the luxury.

2. Master Bathroom The black and white is the main tone with the aged iron finish as the touch up. The combination of white marble and subway tiles keeping the clean feeling, the black frame, floor tiles and the accessories also recalling the design in outer space.

3. Master Bedroom The dark brown cabinet to make the dark design warmer, also the concealed door with the same color hidden becomes one feature wall. The light trough on the cement texture finish feature wall keeping the raw texture in the room and the headboard we applied the stripe pattern to create the contrast with smooth and rough. In the walk-in closet, we applied the black frame with pattern glass to reduce the mass of the block but also keeping the feature of the framing design.
