The HP2 Sport is our most revolutionary and powerful Boxer, with 130 hp. It’s the first production street bike with so many MotoGP features: gear-shift assist, billet top yokes, radial valves, new cylinder head technology with two overhead camshafts per cylinder, carbon fiber bodywork with carbon tail section, ultralight forged wheels, and even a GP style dashboard that computes lap times and other essential racing data. new HP2 Sport for the World Endurance Championship series in Spain, the CCS Champion and MOTO-ST winner Nate “N8!” Kern claimed, “The HP2 Sport is by far the best BMW I’ve ever ridden on the track. It’s razor sharp and the brakes are outrageously good.”

achieved by Andy Sills on November 8, 2005 at Utah’s Bonneville Salt Flats. Sills set the FIM land speed record on a stock K 1200 S racing at 4000 feet on the iconic salt lake.

The K 1200 S was the first production motorcycle to offer Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA). ESA lets riders easily match suspension stiffness to riding conditions or load on the fly. ESA, which allows for nine distinct preload and dampening settings, is a must-have option on the K 1200 S.
