ROYAL INTERNATIONAL HORSE SHOW (RIHS) QUALIFYING CLASSES

This Show is affiliated to Sports Horse Breeding GB. SHOW HUNTER REGISTER All horses being shown in Ridden Qualifying Classes for the Royal International Horse Show are required to be entered on the Society’s Basic Identity Record or Stud Book and the annual Show Hunter Register.

Registrations are renewable each year and are not restricted by way of breeding etc. The current Show Hunter registration fee is £45.00 and owners and riders must be Full Members of the Society.

The Society designates certain Shows as qualifying shows for the RIHS at which horses may qualify for the RIHS in the current year or at specific shows for the following year. At these Shows the two highest placed horses in the Lightweight, Middleweight, Heavyweight, Small and Ladies (side saddle) Classes will qualify to enter at the RIHS. No horse lower than second will qualify.

DAY TICKET £36 (per day ticket). A maximum of 2 day tickets may be purchased per year and this entitles competitors to compete at a maximum of 2 shows in the year - it covers owner and rider membership together with horse registration/ overstamp for those shows. If the class is a qualifying class for RIHS, in order for the qualification to be valid, application for full owner/rider membership and horse registration/overstamp must be received in the SHB(GB) office within 14 days. Before completing this form please refer to the current handbook or the rules and regulations published on the SHB(GB) website. The three highest placed horses will qualify

These classes will include a £10.00 RIHS Levy with each entry Entry Fees (inc RIHS Levy):

Members £24.50 inc VAT/entry, Non Members £29.50 inc VAT/entry

H9 The BREEN Perpetual Challenge Trophy for the Champion Working Hunter The IRISH DRAUGHT HORSE SOCIETY GB offer a Special Incentive Card to the highest placed Irish Draught Pure Bred or Irish Draught Sports Horse in the following classes.

To be eligible, exhibits must be registered with or overstamped by the IDHS (GB) on either their Irish Draught Breed Registers or Irish Draught Sports Horse Registers. Registration numbers to be stated on the entry form.

CLASSES

177 NOVICE WORKING HUNTER, stallion, mare or gelding, four years old and over, exceeding 148cm. Riders any age. Open to horses who have not won a working hunter class or a total of £100, excluding championship prize money, in any SHB (GB) affiliated Working Hunter class or more than 5 BE points or 200 BS points, at home or equivalent abroad before 1st January of the current year. Fences to be a minimum height of 0.85m (2’9”) and maximum height of 1.00m (3’3”). To be run under SHB(GB) 2022 rules. 178 RIHS WORKING HUNTER, stallion, mare or gelding, four years old and over, exceeding 148cm. Riders to have attained their 16th birthday by 1st January of the current year. Grade A Show-jumpers and Advanced Event horses are not eligible to compete in these classes. Maximum height of fences to be 1.14cm (3’9”). To be judged 60% for jumping performance and 40% as for Hunter classes. No change of tack or rider permitted during the class. To be run under SHB(GB) 2022 rules.
