Introduction Dear Runner, Last year, still in the middle of the pandemic, we took the challenge of launching a new race: Villars Ultraks.

Twelve months later, now that the frequency of races has picked up again, Villars Ultraks is still waiting for you in great numbers, in a less anxiety inducing atmosphere but with several new features.

We have listened carefully to your comments to make the race even more attractive.

From now on, the three main courses will start and finish at the Villars Sports Centre and on Friday, a VERTICAL has been added to the programme.

We look forward to seeing you in Villars.

Info Post-COVID-19 We now consider the situation to be normal.

CHANGING ROOMS

This does not prevent us from emphasising the following points for the well-being and comfort of all.

The changing rooms and showers on level -1 of the Sports Centre are now available.

INDIVIDUAL PREVENTION

AWARDS

If you feel any symptoms of COVID-19, we invite you to carry out a self-test and, should it be positive, not to go to Villars.

Awards will be given to the top three men and top three women in each race.

WAVE START The wave start has been very popular, beyond the health regulations.

We are therefore maintaining this formula, which allows us to spread out the flow of runners and at the same time reduce the density of people.

Age group winners will also be awarded on stage.

MEDALS The souvenir medals requested at registration will be given with the bib number.

AID STATIONS We are keeping the formula of individual trays, in order to improve hygiene.

RUNNERS' MEALS The runners' meal will normally be held in the gym in the basement of the Sports Centre.

Access is reserved to runners with a race number and a coupon attached to the race number.

FINISHER T-SHIRT Your finisher t-shirt will be given to you once you cross the finish line.

The size will correspond to the size given at registration which is written on the number.

There will be no fitting or exchange until the end of the race.

Courses As mentioned, the routes have been modified so that the race ends where it started, at the Villars Sports Centre.

If you have carefully studied the routes, you will note minor adjustments resulting from remarks made by the Department of the Environment and Safety of the Canton of Vaud.

Specific Informations « VERTICALE » START The start is a mass-start, i.e. all riders start simultaneously.

FINISH The finish is judged at the top of the Grand-Chamossaire.

However, as soon as you cross the finish line, we ask you to go directly to the Roc-d'Orsay, a few hundred metres below.

BAGS The bags left in the vehicle provided for this purpose and located near the starting line will be brought directly to the Roc d'Orsay.

PRIZE GIVING The prize-giving ceremony for the «VERTICALE» race will take place directly after the race (7.15 pm) on the Roc d'Orsay terrace.

RIDE DOWN The Roc d'Orsay cable car will operate exclusively for runners and accompanying persons from 7.30 pm to 8 pm.

Bib numbers collection You can pick up your race number at the Villars Sports/Tennis Centre, which is located on your right at the beginning of the Col de la Croix Road.

To avoid peaks in attendance, we suggest that you respect the times we indicate.

Start Information PARKING The Roc d'Orsay car park is at your disposal free of charge.

It is located about 15 minutes walk from the Sports Centre. A perfect warm-up � For those who want to preserve their strength, we will set up a small shuttle bus only during the bib collection times.

The pick-up point will be towards the top of the car park.

WAVE START The runners will start in waves of about 100 people at intervals of about five minutes.

The waves are established on the basis of the times indicated at registration.

The race time will start when crossing the line.

However, only one rider in the first wave can claim the scratch race.

When a wave is ready to start, the next wave will be prepared in the dedicated area.

The wave is indicated by a letter on the race number (see opposite).

If you decide to wear a mask at the start - which is not compulsory - please do not throw it away but keep it in your pocket.

TOILETS Temporary toilets are installed in the immediate vicinity of the start line, along the tennis courts. They complement the toilets in the Sports Centre.
