We at Isla Angus welcome you to our sale on 30 August 2024. Last year, those of you that attended, would have noticed that our temporary setup has been superseded by a modern facility that is a pleasure to work cattle in. We can’t thank Ruary and Benni enough. Clearly this wasn’t their first rodeo!
This year we are holding a Helmsman style sale which will also be interfaced with AuctionsPlus. The bulls will be penned on the day but not put through a ring and we hope this lightens the stress load for the bulls and you our customer. It will certainly help our blood pressure too!
As we know 2023 was a tough season and it was difficult to keep the bulls growing steadily with the pasture challenges we were faced with. Despite this we are very happy with how they have developed, and they will present well on sale day and go on to produce quality animals for you. We always enjoy hearing feedback from our customer on how their Isla bulls are going as a lot of effort goes in to getting them to sale day. We have a good selection of exciting genetics on offer in this sale offering great phenotype and performance EBVs. Every bull catalogued must be a bull that we would be happy to use ourselves in our commercial operation and if they don’t pass that simple test they are culled.
Currently our commercial heifers are calving and it is a joy to do the daily rounds and see the abundance of unassisted calves born. The cattle market has certainly turned around since this time last year and we can all look forward to selling these calves on the ground into buoyant markets in 2025 and 2026.

SAFETY
Visitors enter the cattle pens at their own risk. Children must not enter the pens.
ABSENT BUYERS
The auction will be interfaced with AuctionsPlus.
GST
Bulls will be sold GST exclusive.
INSURANCE
Ownership passes at the conclusion of the sale. Insurance can be arranged on the day or through your own agent.
REBATES
A rebate of 2% is offered to outside agents introducing buyers and settling within 7 days of the invoice. Agents wishing to nominate buyers must do so by email/phone to the vendor 24 hours prior to the sale.
FERTILITY
All bulls have passed a thorough fertility examination. This assessment includes semen viability, palpation of the reproductive organs and measurement of scrotal circumference.
