In the years 1692 and 1693 the salem witch trials were at their peak . They were a rough time because families were torn apart and there were many awful punishments that would torture you for hours but others would be instant there were many people that were killed but there were even more that were put to trial but they had a saying, according to smithsonian.com it was “ jury before trial” there were many of the women that were accused were quakers and other women that weren't christian, there was one man that was accused of witchcraft and found “guilty” but there was only one.The salem witch trials also tore apart families and ruined many people's lives.
According to wiki, “ More than 200 people were accused of practicing witchcraft—the Devil's magic—and 20 were executed.” that is 20 families that were ruined because of that time that makes it a hard time to raise a family, according to wiki, One lasting effect that was caused by the Trials, was the splitting apart of families and the difficult lives of the accused.”

According to wiki,In June of 1692, the special Court of Oyer (to hear) and Terminer (to decide) sat in Salem to hear the cases of witchcraft. Presided over by Chief Justice William Stoughton, the court was made up of magistrates and jurors. The first to be tried was Bridget Bishop of Salem who was found guilty and was hanged on June 10.They still don't really know igzactly why the salem witch trials started but they do have a theory, that according to wiki'"The infamous Salem witch trials began during the spring of 1692, after a group of young girls in Salem Village, Massachusetts, claimed to be possessed by the devil and accused several local women of witchcraft. The place that i'm talking a bout is called Salem Mass.
In salem it is still the new world at this time so the people that live there have no money for " frippery" of slaves there have to tend to there own fields, animals and daily house chores. So the new world was a little behind, so what? So, they all wanted to have sons.Belive it or not the first witch trial was not held in salem as on might think but in Charlestown.
