YOUTH SOCCER REGISTRATION For 5-12 yrs old ends on Fri, 7 Aug! Registration costs are $30 for members and $45 for non-members. Each child must have a copy of their birth certificate, immunization records and a current physical exam form at the time of registration.

START SMART SOCCER REGISTRATION For 3 & 4 year olds will be conducted from 3 - 21 Aug 09. Cost is $36 per child. Program will start on Wed, 9 Sep from 5 - 6 pm at the Youth Center.

Back to School Bash – Wednesday, 19 August from 2-5 pm Teen Night Out at the Bowling Center – Saturday, 22 August from 7-11 pm. Beginning 3 Aug 2009, the annual membership for the Youth Center will be $48 per child, with an additional weekly attendance fee for youth attending youth center activities 3 or more days. The attendance fee is based on a sliding scale, depending on total family income (TFI). There are six ranges, beginning with annual TFI of anything up to $28,000 in Category I ($5 per week) to anything over $70,001 in Category VI ($17.50 per week). Updated registration can be accomplished prior to and no later than 1 August 2009 for current members. Daily fee for participation at the Youth Center for non-members is $2 per child.

This is a beginner’s introduction course to canoeing/kayaking. Meet at the Marina Activity Room/Base Pool (you will be contacted on which location) where you will learn about the canoe/kayak, equipment, strokes and wet exits. Following the classroom time, we will load up equipment, and go down to the beach for instruction on safety, paddling, and forward strokes. • Two categories: Artist-Craftsman and Photography • Three age divisions in each category: Age 6-12, 13-17, and 18+ for adults • Three entries per person per category, for a maximum of six entries. • Photos must be provided in digital or hard copy formats. • Work can be submitted for local display starting 1 August-15 October. • All submissions will be digitized and forwarded to AMC in October. • The top 50 AMC entries will be forwarded to AFSVA by 31 December with final selections on display on the Gallery Showcase website in February 2010. • Individuals whose entries are selected for the Gallery Showcase display will receive recognition from HQ AFSVA, which may include a commemorative medallion, certificate and DVD of the showcase.
