Fort MacArthur Inn is the lodging operation for Los Angeles AFB. It is located in the city of San Pedro, 20 miles south of LA AFB and offers 72 non-smoking units. We strive to ensure our guests have a clean, comfortable room to guarantee a good night’s rest and a pleasant stay.

Space-Available reservations can be made up to 120 days in advance, depending on the base occupancy and at the lodging managers’ discretion. Fulfill your Initial Counseling and Pre-separation briefing requirement at this mandatory briefing preferably 18 months before separating and 24 months prior to retiring, but mandated NLT 365 days before leaving the service.

LA AFB INTRO Program

Tuesday, July 12 | August 2 8 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

Newcomers are briefed on some of the most important aspects that they will need for getting settled into Los Angeles AFB. Informational briefings from the A&FRC, Security Forces, the EFMP Coordinator and so many more will be provided.

All spouses are welcome to attend. The link to the virtual WebEx platform will be provided in the LA Garrison base announcements email. Must have at least 10 minimum participants.

Transition Workshop

July 11-13 | August 8-10 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. | Bldg. 272, Room 201-202 The three day format covers a broad range of topics from financial planning to job search to a VA benefits briefing.

Spouses are highly encouraged to attend. This workshop is mandatory for all separating members, highly recommended for retiring military members.

DOL Employment Track (2 days)

July 20-21 | August 16 - 17 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. | Bldg. 272, Room 201-202 This new workshop is part of the Transition Program. It is a monthly workshop where Transitioning Service Members, Spouses, Retirees and Veterans can build a resume for a civilian or a federal job and learn interview techniques, salary negotiations and labor market information.

DoD Education Track (2 days)

August 23 - 24 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Transitioning Service Members, Spouses, Retirees and Veterans can learn about education resources available. This is a quarterly workshop part of the Transition Assistance Program (TAP).

A 14-session program that focuses on specific aspects of manhood through interactive activities. Open to boys ages 9 to 18 who are Youth Programs members.

Join us and enjoy learning new skills in the kitchen when cooking and eating with friends. Youth are encouraged to bring or send in recipes from their family favorites, or from cultural family traditions. Parents are always welcome and encouraged to share their culinary skills with the team.

Sports & Recreation Fridays (Ages 9-18)

Fridays, 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Each week we will tackle a different outdoor activity, from kickball to tennis to track-and-field.

STEAM Center of Innovation (Ages 5-18)

Monday - Friday (Ages 9-18) : 3 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.

Tuesdays (Ages 5 to 8) : 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The STEAM room is open five days a week! Join staff for directed and other cool STEM projects, or just stop by for some solo time on a computer, using 3D pens, building robots, flying drones, and much more. This month we are focusing on robotics and 3D printing and how we can use them to help our community.
