elcome. On behalf of Amber, Isely and myself we would like to extend a heartfelt welcome to the second annual Twisted T

Gelbvieh production sale.

This past year has brought a lot of changes for us as we have ventured away from the comfort of my parents ranch and acquired a place in the sunny southern part of Saskatchewan! As we look back over the past 12 months, I can’t help but stop and smile. Our cow herd is really starting to show its colours as you will see in the offering that we have brought out this year. We also welcomed the very first edition females into production that carry our prefix and man alive does that sure feel great!

As we are still enjoying some very good pricing for feeder calves there is no better time to step out and upgrade your bull battery. All the bulls that are in the sale we believe in!! The bulls are backed up by a stellar set of momma cows that sure do make us proud to own.

As always we have strived to bring out a set a cattle that will go out and work in a variety of situations. There are reds and blacks, power and calving ease but at the same time they all have one solid set of factors that don’t change from top to bottom of the order. All the bulls are as balanced a set of bulls as you will find.

Once again, we will be selling the bulls fully guaranteed and backed by vet inspection. We will take all the bulls home and semen test starting mid-March. Any bull that is purchased and doesn’t pass we will refund the purchase price. We will do our best to keep all the bulls happy and healthy while back at our ranch but do suggest that all bulls be insured for full purchased price. To stay in tune with last year, we will do our best to deliver all the bulls to their new owners’ door step and if we are aren’t able to we will definitely assist in getting them to the new owners on time to breed cows. All bulls will be delivered by April 1, 2016.

We look forward to seeing everyone on February 20 and as always, the door is always open for anyone wishing to come and see the bulls on the ranch (momma’s too). The coffee’s always on and I’m sure that if time allows we might even be able to find something else to drink too!!

BULLS All bulls will have a vet inspection prior to the sale and a full breeding soundness evaluation prior to delivery. Sale day weights will be posted on sale day. All bulls have undergone Homo polled testing as well as Igenity. These results will be posted as available.

The calf that has been a knock out since the day he hit the ground. He is arguably one of the longest and stoutest bulls on offer this spring. Chief had a very successful fall as he was named Champion Gelbvieh Bull in the inaugural President’s Classic at the Canadian Western Agribition. He then went on to be named Reserve Senior Champion Bull Calf in the open show, all while being the youngest bull in the class. This dark red rock star is backed by one of the best cows to walk at Twisted T, FRL Tiley 434Y, and she has gone on to be named Dam of Merit on her first try!! This calf continues to impress!! This outcross Pepsi son has flat out shown what he can do since mid-summer. A calf we likely should have drug down the show road this fall. He has an incredibly balanced set of EPD’s in one of the most attractive packages you will find. He is stout, long and as soft made as they come, not to mention puppy dog quiet!! Born a twin but has not slowed this guy down. Actual birth weight of 57lbs but weaned off the cow with no help at 725lbs. Not often can you find a calf with that much grow. This guy is as big a barreled calf you’ll find.
