Welcome to our Sixth Annual Bull Sale on February 12, 2017. I would like to thank all of the people that have expressed an interest in our program and the repeat customers over the years that have purchased bulls and heifers. Your confidence and support is very much appreciated. We have had a good year here. We had some of the best weather for calving in years. We had some timely rains at the end of June to produce a good hay crop. It was very dry in the summer and early fall and had to move one herd of 86 cows and calves to a different pasture because the dugouts went dry.

In December we had received a record of 53 cm of snow and I was forced to buy a snow machine to move cattle around to different bale grazing sites.

This spring, we will be calving 500 cows. There are 320 purebred papered Simmental cows. All of the cows are run in a competitive environment. The cows bale and corn graze all winter long. They start calving in April and into May on stock piled grass. This type of management weeds out the weak and hard doing cattle, leaving us with a very productive and functional cow base from which to raise coming two year old bulls.

The bull offering has never been better quality or more uniform from top to bottom. Come look and we know you will be impressed. We are incredibly proud of our bulls and hope you will take the time to go though the catalogue. There will be two sire groups represented from our A.I. program. There will be four black bulls from Wheatland High Octane that will stand out on sale day. This year there will be a group of six bulls from the $45,000.00 STF Royal Affair bull. These bulls are simply 'superb' from any angle you look at them. There is a great set of black bulls from Remington Rangefinder, Wheatland Terminator, and our herd sire group from Diamond M Bull 2101Z. For bulls that will work in the heifer pen check out the sire group from Wheatland Nitro and Fusion. In the red bull category we have IPU Red Chakota 18Y, who was

the high seller bull in 2012 at Labatte's sale and he has done a superb job. This will be the last set of red bulls off of Tess Red 135Y, and there are definite some standouts and feature bulls in this group. DMF Maximizer has two red bulls in the catalogue that will add those extra pounds to your calves.

There are also some great red or black half cross bulls that will add that extra hybrid vigor to your calf crop.

We are not offering any open heifers this year due to a herd expansion that we are doing this spring.

These coming two year old bulls will benefit you, the customer, the most. These bulls are bigger, stouter, and will breed circles around any yearling bull. Simply put, these bulls will breed more cows easily, stay in great shape during breeding and will take care of themselves if put in multi-bull pastures. All of these herd sire prospects are virgin bulls, which will be semen tested and guaranteed.

Here at Diamond M Ranch, we want to sell you a bull but more importantly we want to sell you the right bull. So please give us a call as we would be happy to help make the right selection for your herd. Then when you do find the right bull, you can rest assured that we will be there to back up that sale 100%.

Welcome to the Diamond M Ranch Annual Bull Sale.As a purebred program evolves over the years each one tends to identify their strengths. The Diamond M program is gaining a reputation for producing those sound functional herdsires with that extra appeal two year old bulls bring. These bulls are born on grass in April and May and then weaned and wintered as a group, then run on grass for the summer.

When they are brought on feed in the fall prior to the sale they are brought along on a feed ration that never demands any urgency. This is an ideal formula for longevity. The folks at Diamond M are very religious about not allowing anyone to pluck that special yearling from the offering ahead of the sale. For producers that need bulls to cover a few more cows or run on rougher ground this is a great opportunity.

I urge you to give Jordan and Amber a call. Jordan will go through the offering to identify herdsires that will suit your needs. Delivery Options OPTION 1 $100 off per lot if picked up sale day.

OPTION 2 At buyer’s option and risk, we will board the bulls until April 1 at a charge of $100, payable at sale time. Bulls will then be delivered free of charge between April 1 and April 5.

OPTION 3 Bulls staying at the ranch after April 5 will be charged a $3/day fee and it is the buyer’s responsibility to pick the bull up.
