When conceptualizing this photo, I recalled my obsession with historical aesthetics, beauty, the supernatural and the uncanny. Perched on a deer and wielding a broom, an elegant woman stares, challenging us to enter her space. Taken in Pasadena, CA, this photo captures the eerie beauty of both the subject and the manicured world she inhabits.
