eila and Rashid, Egyptian Americans with ties to Cairo, attempt to solve their relationship issues by inviting a relative stranger into their bedroom to engage in a threesome. What begins as a hilariously awkward evening soon becomes an experience fraught with secrets, raising issues of sexism, possession and independence.

ix of America’s most lauded, contemporary playwrights come together for a celebration of one of America’s greatest wordsmiths. Adapted from Tennessee Williams’ short stories Desire and the Black Masseur, The Field of Blue Children, Oriflamme, Portrait of a Girl in Glass, The Resemblance Between a Violin Case and a Coffin, and Tent Worms, the plays of Desire are certain to be new classics for the 21st century.

Depicting love and innocence, isolation and loss, these unforgettable tales serve as a reminder that great stories have the power to change one’s life. Helmed by Michael Wilson, one of the foremost directors of Tennessee Williams, Desire is a hallmark of the theater season.

omebound due to illness, Caroline is a bit of a loner.

So when Anthony – a popular classmate and total stranger – unexpectedly arrives to work on a school project about Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass, she is less than thrilled.

But, as the poetry project progresses, Caroline finds herself opening up in ways she never imagined possible and together, the two discover a much deeper mystery. An ode to life, love and human connection, I and You will warm your heart and leave you breathless.

Lauren Gunderson, author of last 5A Season’s Bauer, won the 2014 Harold and Mimi Steinberg/American Theatre Critics Association New Play Award for this, “sharp and funny 80-minute drama” (The Washington Post).

Due to contractual obligations, we’re not able to announce the third show in our 5A Season yet.

But we can tell you it’s going to be special, and will bring Broadway a little closer to Park Avenue!
