Greetings, Mid-Ohio VIP Superfan! Mid-Ohio is now in the books and what an event it was. Thank you to our VIP Superfans! You all are amazing, especially with your open hearts in supporting our VIP Superfan Privateer Support Program. What a surprise it was for Twin Cup Rider Kevin Olmedo to come to the Tower Suite for a quick interview and then to be presented with an envelope with $2,460 dollars in cash! This program has resonated with the goodwill of ALL of our VIP Superfans’ generosity in supporting MotoAmerica privateers. Thank you. Another remarkable element of our paddock is the sheer will to ride shown by so many MotoAmerica racers who have sustained injuries throughout the season. Riding a motorcycle is a joy shared by millions, but racing one is an entirely different world - where, as ABC’s Wide World of Sports famously said, you experience “the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.” On any given weekend, riders confront obstacles that test their bodies, their confidence, and their limits. Setbacks are inevitable, and injuries often mean they’re not performing at their absolute best. Yet they still line up, still take the green flag, and still push through aches and pains that would sideline most athletes. In MotoAmerica, you rarely hear these riders talk about their struggles. They don’t complain, they don’t broadcast their injuries - they simply race for the pure, unshakable thrill of victory. Our cover rider, Hayden Gillim, embodies everything that makes MotoAmerica special. and a Mid-Ohio sweep that had team owner Terry Vance celebrating like it was the Fourth of July. But Hayden’s day is twice as demanding as most. Before he ever throws a leg over the Vance & Hines Factory Indian, he lines up in the Quad Lock Superclass for the Real Steel Honda Team. His Superbike season has tested him with several brutal getoffs, the kind that leave a rider physically compromised and mentally drained. And still, Hayden refuses to fold. He finishes the Superbike race - whatever the outcome - changes his leathers, resets his focus, and heads back out to chase victory on the Bagger. Hurt or healthy, tired or fired up, Hayden shows up. And he wins. He represents the spirit of our paddock: racers who fight through adversity not because they have to, but because they love this sport too much to let anything slow them down. MotoAmerica VIP Superfans Rally Behind
Kevin Olmedo at Mid-Ohio IRVINE, CA (Aug. 5, 2026) - MotoAmerica VIP Superfans showed extraordinary generosity this weekend, rallying behind Twins Cup rider Kevin Olmedo, who proudly represents Antiguo Cuscatlán, El Salvador. Weekend after weekend, the VIP Superfan Experience has become known for the way it brings fans and privateer racers together with the VIP Privateer Fund, and Mid-Ohio was no exception. Kevin’s story is one of resilience. After facing a serious illness that left him paralyzed for several months, he fought his way back to full health and returned to racing — a comeback that speaks to the
determination it takes to compete at the top level of American road racing. The El Salvadorian rides a Suzuki GSX-8R for Karns/TST Industries Racing in the highly competitive Twins Cup class. Qualifying 9th at Mid-Ohio earned Kevin a selection as the VIP Privateer Support Program rider for the Ohio round. Beginning at Daytona, the program has become a cherished tradition, highlighted by the exclusive VIP Privateer Support Program hats that have become a signature piece of MotoAmerica VIP weekends. The program has now generated over $17,000 for MotoAmerica privateer racers across various classes, underscoring just how much of an impact grassroots fan support can have on a racer’s season. “I was truly speechless,” said Olmedo. “It was a big surprise for me and I really appreciate all the support from the VIPs. Being able to talk about my testimony, and spend some time with all the VIPs was incredible. I hope to continue giving my best every race weekend, and I hope they enjoy every race. Also thanks a lot to the MotoAmerica crew for this opportunity and for starting this amazing program that is helping riders for this great sport.” The weekend’s support was boosted by two special auction items: a striking painting of Max Flinders by artist Scott O’Dell and signed bodywork from Hayden Gillim’s Real Steel Honda — both drawing plenty of interest from VIPs looking to take home a piece of the paddock. VIP Superfan Joey Bones placed the winning bid, earning applause and appreciation from everyone in attendance. A special thank-you goes to VP Racing Fuels, who contributed five gallons of VP Racing fuel to help Kevin as he prepares for the next round at VIRginia International Raceway (VIR) in Alton, Virginia, August 14–16, 2026. Every bit of support counts for a privateer team working to keep a bike on track for the rest of the season. Kevin’s appreciation was unmistakable. The kindness and enthusiasm of the VIP Superfans made a lasting impact, and the energy in the suites reflected the strong connection between riders and VIP Superfans - a reminder of why the program continues to resonate with VIP Superfans weekend after weekend.
