Firewise Evacuation Exercise
Last week on Friday, April 8, designated volunteers from our Firewise Committee and select CSA board representatives, along with members from the Brevard County Sheriff Offi ce and Brevard County Fire and Rescue, participated in a wildfi re emergency scenario and evacuation exercise. The TGO Courtesy Patrol was also in attendance to make sure they have a complete understanding of how the emergency traffi c plan will be implemented. The map on page 34 provides the evacuation routes for each neighborhood. The proposed scenario we planned for can be found on page 9. Photos page 11
Best Of The Best - Let’s Nominate TGO It’s that time of year when Florida Today reaches out to the Space Coast residents asking them to vote for the Best of the Best. SNAP-SHOT: Robin Francis TGO’s Jim Brubaker is an accomplished photographer in his own right and decided to produce a series of articles about our local photographers. He starts in this issue by featuring Robin Francis. If you are familiar with our TGO Nature Center Facebook page, then you already know the beautiful photos that Robin has been sharing the past few years. Jim provides insight about how Robin got started and talks about some of her favorite photos and how her good friend Jim Dick inspired her to pursue her photography passion. More on page 50
