Over 500 Foster & Adoptive Families Came Together this Christmas Season Across Broward, Palm Beach, and the Treasure Coast

One of the best presents 4KIDS families enjoy every December is the opportunity to spend time together at the Foster & Adoptive Christmas Parties. Three different churches across the six counties 4KIDS serves all rallied around the families to host a special time of fun, food, and fellowship. Plus, the entire community comes together each year with special gifts for all 4KIDS families as a part of the Gift of Hope Toy Drive.

As exciting as the holidays can be, many kids in and out of foster care have a hard time being separated from their biological families during this time. It’s not uncommon for kids to unravel in the midst of the Christmas cheer, and deeply feel the pain of missing home. This can be a challenging season for foster and adoptive parents as they navigate through these behaviors.

With this in mind, the 4KIDS parties include a portion of time where the kids play games with awesome volunteers, while parents are encouraged by the 4KIDS team and other families. The hope is that through this time of encouragement, parents will leave the party empowered to unconditionally love the kids in their homes even more. This special time also gives parents and kids the chance to see a room filled with hundreds of other families who are walking the same journey—the best part is that they are in this together! It was truly a day to remember, and a great way to celebrate Christmas!
