Checklist
Awareness:
Self-awareness: You have done the work to truly understand your own values, strengths, weaknesses, and emotional needs. You know who you are, what you need, what you value and where you want to go.
Positional awareness: You recognize your own position within the 4Cross Framework and understand its implications. You have identified and embraced your potential partner's position.
Attraction:
Physical: Reflecting on physical attraction and chemistry. You love being in the presence of your potential mate and it’s clear they enjoy your physical attributes as well.
Emotional: Considering the depth of emotional connection and support. You feel like you are listened to, respected and feel good about yourself around your potential mate and vice versa.
Intellectual: Assessing the intellectual stimulation and engagement in the relationship. Your potential mate is interesting to you. They present a challenge and have a mutual respect for your points of view.
Positional: You have evaluated positional attraction and how well your partner’s position aligns with or complements your own.
Interests:
Reviewing shared interests and activities to ensure companionship and mutual enjoyment. You have many of the same interests, not all, but you share some interests in several areas of exploration, hobbies etc.
Values:
Ensuring alignment of core values and long-term goals, such as ethics, lifestyle, family planning, and career ambitions. You have talked about what you need, who you are and what matters to you going forward in regards to values and ambitions.
Effective Communication:
Evaluating how clear, empathetic, and respectful dialogue is to resolve conflicts, express needs, and deepen connections. You feel like you can talk to your potential mate and they listen. You feel safe to be yourself. And they have expressed the same to you.
Choice:
Making an informed decision by synthesizing all the information gathered through the previous steps, considering pros and cons, having deep and honest conversations, and trusting instincts .
