Article 7 « 1. The child shall be registered immediately after birth and shall have the right from birth to a name, the right to acquire a nationality and. as far as possible, the right to know and be cared for by his or her parents. 2. States Parties shall ensure the implementation of these rights in accordance with their national law and their obligations under the relevant international instruments in this ﬁeld, in particular where the child would otherwise be stateless. »

Article 7 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child focuses on the importance of registering children immediately after their birth and their right to get a birth certificate, proving his citizenship in a way that guarantees him full citizenship in the state. The convention calls on States to ensure the implementation of these rights, in particular where the child would otherwise be stateless. A child should not leave stateless, as this is an important human right. Full citizenship is a booklet contains a pictorial translation of Article 7 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child that calls for attention to the registration of children and obtaining a birth certificate.
