OUR TEAM MICHAEL GALLA With over forty-four years of experience in the construction industry, Michael Galla is a seasoned General Superintendent known for his exceptional leadership skills and deep industry knowledge.

Starting his journey at sixteen years old, Michael progressed from building houses to overseeing a wide range of projects, including multimillion-dollar custom homes, wood frame and steel buildings, and large-scale structural renovations. One of Michael's standout achievements was supervising the simultaneous construction of nine buildings across three Sedona schools, totaling $75 million. He also takes pride in his work on the Peoria Sports Complex and the Carvana tower in Glendale, AZ. Michael's meticulous attention to detail and expertise in navigating complex architectural designs have been instrumental in the successful completion of these notable projects.

BRIANNE ABBASI Brianne Abbasi runs Business Development at 41 North Contractor’s Arizona Branch. Brianne has spent her career fostering a robust, sustainable network of clients in the Southwest region, leveraging strong listening, presentation and closing skills. Her background has been largely focused on the restaurant and retail industry where she has worked alongside key decision makers at every phase of the development process. Brianne studied Veterinary Medicine and Biology-Pre Med at Iowa State University. She is currently apart of The National Association of Women in Construction, as well as the Arizona Chapter of the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP), and Arizona Association For Economic Development (AAED)

OUR TEAM JON NEWLIN Jon Newlin has been an experienced and accomplished estimator in the construction field. A graduate of Purdue University, with over 15 years of experience in the industry, Jon has developed a deep understanding of the estimating process in various types of construction projects. Jon has worked on projects of various sizes and complexities, ranging from tenant improvements to new construction speculative and built-to-suit projects. He has a broad range of preconstruction experience in office, lobby/amenity, restaurant, retail, healthcare, dispensary, and industrial projects. Notable clients Jon has worked with include the Museum of Science & Industry, Giordano’s, Market Creations at Willis Tower, Gordon Ramsay, The Foxtail, The Purple Pig, among others.

LANCE BEELER Lance Beeler is the Director of Pre-Construction and comes with extensive experience across various market sectors and projects totaling hundreds of millions of dollars. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Western Illinois University and pursuing a Master of Science in Management at the University of Illinois, his expertise is unapparelled and has contributed to the accumulation of his impressive portfolio; significant projects include the University of Cincinnati mid-rise office and hotel center, Target distribution centers, MOPAR distribution centers, and US Air Force Barracks. His versatility is evident in ventures such as childcare facilities, retail locations for Amazon and Microsoft, and cannabis retail establishments for GTI, Verano, and Zenleaf. Notable developments like the Scottish Rite Cathedral, the Knickerbocker Hotel, and the State Farm corporate office showcase Lance's ability to shape impactful structures.

BRANDIN LEWIS With a career in the construction industry since 2005, Brandin Lewis is an experienced Project Manager known for his expertise in handling projects worth hundreds of millions. Holding OSHA 10 certification, Brandin emphasizes safety on all projects. His largest project, Portland On The Park, had a value exceeding $60 million. Brandin has worked on notable projects like ENVY Residences, Luke Air Force Base, Walmart/Sam's Club, and Starbucks, showcasing his versatility in project management across various sectors.

YANIV MOAR Yaniv Moar is an experienced Project Superintendent and has been in the construction industry for over 22 years. He studied at Pima and Mesa College focused on Welding, CAD Design & Applied Arts. Throughout his career, Yaniv has worked on various civil/public works project for City of Scottsdale, Tempe and Phoenix. He has been involved in projects which have been valued in millions of dollars, with his largest project value to date being $10 million, including Westin Kierland, Arizona Retina, Project X. Yaniv is OSHA 10 certified, which shows his emphasis on ensuring safety in his work.

His in-depth knowledge and vast experience in the industry have earned him a reputation as a reliable and knowledgeable professional.

STRATEGY APPROACH AND PHILOSOPHY 41 North Contractors focuses on building a collaborative team early in the design phase to ensure smooth communication and project success. Engaging contractors from the start allows for cost-effective solutions, better budgeting, and timesaving approaches. By developing the budget with owners and continuously monitoring it through design, we ensure alignment with expectations. During preconstruction, we create a comprehensive schedule and work with trades to review designs, propose cost-saving alternatives, and ensure the most efficient MEP approach.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICES AND TOOLS We operate project management software called Procore. Procore tracks, logs, and manages submittals, shop drawings, daily logs, safety logs, weekly reports, project photos, etc. This data is stored in Procore and can be accessed anytime by the project team, but, our Project Manager will send out a weekly report to the team. The weekly report is distributed out at the end of each week and includes an updated three-week schedule, current project photos, and a weekly update sheet.

This update sheet recaps site activities from the week, lists activities for the coming week, and catalogs site issues or updates that need to be addressed. There will also be a weekly owner/architect/contractor meeting set up on site. This has proven to be a useful and productive meeting.

SCHEDULE The success of any construction project begins by establishing a realistic schedule. We build our schedules with the assistance of subcontractors factoring in material and equipment lead times. During preconstruction we issue a master schedule for the project. Which will be the road map to completing the project and details major milestone tasks. Each week, the project superintendent will create a three-week look advance schedule, which will outline the finer details of the project. This schedule is distributed to each subcontractors' office and is also reviewed during weekly on-site foreman’s meetings. We will have a two-person management staff on site for this project: a project manager and project superintendent. The project managers responsibilities consist of but not limited to subcontractor contracts, financial tracking, and submittal procurement. The on-site superintendent will be responsible for quality control. Our superintendents are experienced in multiple sectors of construction and all have extensive experience working with the Arizona Building Departments.
