Each player should choose their hand values based on potential winning hands before the gamestarts.Basedonthecardstheyhavein hand,eachplayercallsorbidsthenumberof trickstheybelievetheycanwin.

Eachplayerreceives13cardsatthe startofthegame.

In the call-break game, spades are the lonetrumpsuit.

Fourplayersarerequiredtoplaythisgam

Any card from a different suit will lose to a spade card. For instance, the 2 of Spades has more strength than any other suit's Ace.

Aplayermustthrowaspadecardiftheydon't have any cards in the suit being played. He or she may throw any card of their choosing if theydonothaveanyspadecards.

If one of the following players does not receive a spade suit (trump) card, the round should be redone. b) When a player fails to draw a face card (J, Q, K, or A) of anysuit.c)Therearefewerthaneightcalls (bets)intotal.
