With many countries keeping their shelter-in-place orders intact, people now need things to do while they are in quarantine. Whether you’re creative, pensive, or just want to try something new, there are endless possibilities for you. Of course, it can be hard to think of them yourself, but this list can get you started on new and interesting things to do while you’re saving lives by staying at home. Learn Something Many online tutorials are available on YouTube. Consider learning a new hobby, such as crochet, knitting, or scrapbooking. Though you may need to run to the store to buy supplies, you can incorporate this into your weekly shopping trip. You are also going to find that a lot of companies are offering free or reduced-cost lessons. Consider learning a new language, try your hand at photography, or something else. Of course, if you’re mechanically inclined, you can also watch tutorials on how to fix things around your home. Do you have electronics that no longer work? Consider trying to fix them yourself (but always remain safe).

Online Courses Regardless of what you want to learn, there are endless online courses that teach you how to do it. Plus, many of them are discounted or free because of the pandemic. Take this time to learn something. Do you want a new career? Consider using this time to learn what you need to know to get that new job. By the time the pandemic is over, and things start going back to normal, you could be well on your way to a degree. Declutter the House Everyone knows how easy it is to let things slide when you’re busy. If you cannot go to work (you’re not an essential employee) or your hours have been reduced, you can use this time to clean up the house. Even if your home is spotlessly clean, there are probably a few places that have a bit of clutter. For example, closets, linen spaces, and kitchen cabinets all seem to be piled with a lot of stuff. However, sitting at home all day can lead to overeating or eating because you are bored. To offset this, exercise is essential. Plus, it can boost your mood and help you keep depression at bay. Then, find a fun workout video and start moving! In fact, you could spend hours searching for the perfect one, which can kill time and be fun, as well. Conclusion Though you have to practice social distancing and stay away from others as much as possible, that doesn’t mean you have to be bored.
