· Guests are responsible for the conduct of their children and visitors. This includes any damages they incur.
· Non-commercial or personal cooking appliances are not authorized for use in the rooms. Please use only the cooking devices that are provided in the rooms.

Albuquerque’s fabulous weather offers the perfect opportunity to take to the skies, either in a hot air balloon, glider, or airplane. A hot air balloon flight is an unforgettable experience, from the incredible sensation of the initial launch to floating into the sky and the exhilarating feeling of gently drifting with the wind and the thrill of landing. The hot air ballooning capital, Albuquerque, offers superb conditions and is the perfect place to embark on your own high-flying adventure. Albuquerque balloon pilots offer rides all year, providing an unparalleled chance to enjoy a bird’s eye view of magnificent New Mexico terrain. Many balloon companies offer a continental breakfast and champagne toast at the conclusion of your flight. For a real hands-on experience, you can even be part of a balloon crew and help prepare the balloon for launch and pack it up at the conclusion of the ride. Flights generally occur during the early morning hours, but launch times vary depending on the season. Ballooning companies often work with you to schedule a ride around a special occasion. No matter what season you fly, be sure to dress in layers because the early morning hours can be chilly, even during the summer months. Bring your camera and be ready for the thrill of a lifetime.

Albuquerque’s International Balloon Fiesta takes place each October, hosting more than 700 balloons in the sky at a time, making it the world’s largest hot air balloon festival. This magical hot air balloon festival is the most photographed event in the world, drawing a huge international crowd of balloonists and spectators. Clear blue skies, calm winds, and mild temperatures are the norm in Albuquerque, encouraging year-round hot air ballooning and enabling more than 300 resident balloonists (more than any other state) to fly frequently. Do not miss a visit to the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum, the world’s premier facility dedicated to the art, culture, science, history, sport, and spectacle of hot air ballooning. It features one of the world’s finest collections of ballooning equipment and memorabilia.

In all, Albuquerque as 400+ movie credits to its name with its earliest credit on record dated in 1898. The success of highly profitable and awardwinning films like “Transformer”, “Wild Hogs”, and “No Country for Old Men” open the door and eyes to the film industry to New Mexico, specifically Albuquerque due to its versatile climate and ability to offer favorable and varying scenery. They have seen no less than 10 movies, TV series, reality shows produced in the city/state since this remarkable year with the introduction of many studios and networks moving their headquarters here like Netflix’s and Universal NBC.

Nestled between the Sandia mountains and three volcanoes is a rift carved by the Rio Grande River that is home to a historic farming community, turned outpost, and then officially a village in 1706 that predates the forming of the United States by four generations. This village – which has flown the flags of three nations (Spain, Mexico, U.S.A.), was center-stage for the brutal merger of two civilizations and has become one of the most unique and culturally significant melting pots in the history of the United States – is known as Old Town Albuquerque, NM. You can find over 150 shops located throughout Old Town. This is the place to go for your local souvenirs at a competitive price. They always have something going on event wise too!
The historic heart of Albuquerque is Old Town Plaza, where the pace slows and pedestrians find refuge from fast traffic. Old Town’s official beginning was April 23, 1706, when Francisco Cuervo y Valdes, Spanish Governor of New Mexico, certified the founding of the Villa de Albuquerque. Spain’s Laws of the Indies, in effect at the time, required setting a plaza at the center of any villa.
Centered on the plaza, Albuquerque’s Old Town comprises about ten blocks of historic adobe buildings. On the north side of the plaza is the San Felipe de Neri Church, the oldest building in the city, which was built in 1793. Surrounding the church, the city’s settlers had built their homes, shops and government offices, many of which have since been converted into the restaurants, art galleries and shops that comprise Old Town today. More than 100 stores and 24 galleries feature a wide variety of Southwestern artwork including jewelry, sculpture, paintings, weaving and pottery. In addition, the Albuquerque Museum, the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, the National Atomic Museum, and the ¡Explora! Science Center and Children’s Museum are all located just to the east of Old Town, showcasing world-class exhibits.
Old Town today looks much like it did when it was built centuries ago, 70 years before the American Revolution. Its Pueblo-Spanish style architecture with flat-roofed buildings and soft contours of adobe mirror the Southwestern landscape. Long portals (porches) line the fronts of most buildings offering shade from the New Mexican sun. Bancos (benches) are often found built into the back walls of the portals, providing the perfect place for weary walkers to sit and be soothed by a Southwestern sunset. Activities and events still revolve around the picturesque plaza, much like they did three hundred years ago. Visitors to Old Town will find a treasure trove of history, hidden in plain sight at the center of modern Albuquerque.
