There was plenty of interest in the sale which attracted buyers from throughout the north of England and Midland counties as well. There was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the sale, with a real buzz around the ring. The pre-sale show was capably judged by Mr Andrew Wilson of the Northshields Holstein herd, Fife. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Wilson for his time and expertise in travelling down to judge. There was an impressive line-up of heifers and bulls for him to cast his eye over, thanks must go to the vendors for the quality on offer. The champion was awarded to lot 30, Witherslack Mincio Joanne 2, a second calved cow yielding 46kg which went on to sell for £2,150, going home with the judge, she was consigned by the Inman Family of Strickland Hill. The reserve champion was awarded to H Wright and Son of Berryholme, Kendal with their heifer Berryholme Snowy Linda. This smart heifer sold for £2,100.
