Sale Conditions Stock will be sold under the conditions of sale displayed in the mart, recommended by the Livestock Auctioneers’ Association for England and Wales.

All heifers offered for sale are not warranted as breeders unless otherwise stated.

Please note that ear numbers for all cattle must be given to the auctioneers on the respective entry forms supplied.

All unentered cattle and those missing their turn in the ballot will be offered for sale at the end of the catalogued entries. All sucklers must be declared at the time of sale No lots can leave the market without a ‘pass slip’ being issued by the main office Purchasers have two working days from time of sale to satisfy themselves that all documentation received is correct and any discrepancies must be notified to the auctioneers within that time limit.

Paperwork must accompany livestock and if making multiple loads please make sure that the paperwork is presented with the first load.

TB Status Notification If you are a 1 year TB test holding, please ensure your cattle have been tested within the 60 days prior to sale date. Please bring a copy of your current TB Test Certificate with your passports and indicate on the blue entry form how many days remain on your current test.

Vendors: please ensure all cattle have two ministry approved ear tags.

Please make sure you have your stock forward as early as possible to ensure your stock is lotted and penned as swiftly as possible.

Children are not allowed in the sale ring at any time.

Please inform a member of staff before unloading if your livestock could be dangerous so they can prepare and inform other members of staff who will have to handle them.

Farm Assurance To ensure that we are able to market your stock as being Farm Assured, it is imperative that on any Entry Forms and ARAMS1 Forms you MUST include an up to date FABBL Sticker, (which should be provided at renewal).

This should be done for every load of Livestock brought in for sale. Without evidence of your Farm Assurance Status, we will be unable to market your stock as being Farm Assured with Prime Hoggs being marked with a Yellow Head.

We must also highlight the residency periods that must be complied with for bought in animals be marketed as Farm Assurance, Beef animals must be held on an assured holding for 90 days and Sheep for 60 Days for the animals to be described & sold as Farm Assurance If you are not Farm Assured please contact our NWA Professional Department on 015395 66222 where a member of staff will be able to help.

How to find us...

From the South At junction 33, exit towards Lancaster (South) A6. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Preston Lancaster Road/A6 heading to Lancaster. Head straight through the village of Galgate and through two sets of traffic lights. At the traffic light crossroads continue straight on again. After approx 300yards, bare right onto Barton Road. After 1 mile turn right at the mini roundabout onto Coulston Road, then right onto Wyresdale road and North West Auctions will be on your right.

From the North Exit the M6 at junction 34 onto Lancaster Road/AA683 towards Lancaster and Morecambe, and continue to follow the A683.

Continue for a third of a mile onto Caton Road/A6. Turn left at Parliament Street/A6 and continue to follow the A6. Turn left at Rosemary Lane/A6, then another left to stay on Rosemary lane/A6.

Take a slight left at Dalton Square and turn left to stay on Dalton Square.

Continue onto Nelson Street, then onto East Road. Turn right at Wyresdale Road, then left to continue on Wyresdale Road.

North West Auctions will be on the right.
