Intro Issue Handheld vacuum is easily accessible in our daily usages, but with a low production cost comes with little ergonomic designs.
Direction During this project, im putting extra emphasis on the element of ergonomics while trying to provide users with great focus towards the relationship between the handle and users. Emphasize the simple shape with clean lines while still maintaining comforts and ergonomics.
Sketchings Early stage sketchings allow me to develope a straightfoward form with solid comfort along with clean lines and a high arch point. (Easier to pick straight up from the surface without any other gestures.)
Mock-ups/ Ergonomic studies Working with multipule form mock-ups to put the ergonomic elements in to testing. The overal result allow me to develope a handle with a certain angle that greatly ease the stress on the wrist while operating.
Given a higer arch point makes it easer to pick up from the talble .
Having sets of simple lines address the minimalist design yet also plays a vital part in the ergonomic element.
“The Aesthetics of Ergonomic� The final result of the project ends up as a simple, intuitive yet well thought product. While setting the target clear, approaching to each detail and solving them will evantually adds up to a fine form with logical ideas and progresses as Series Edge is basically the extention form of the most comfortable forms to have in hands with multipule common gestures .
DTAILS The special designed curves helps devide the surface of the handle neatly yet with extraordinary comfort with two most common gestures. Placing the switch just at the reach of user’s thumb makes the operating experience as easy as it ever gets.
