Dear Friends, We are proud to report that 317 Main is an organization that is on the move and is impacting the lives of thousands of people. In the Fall of 2017, the 317 Main board and staff updated our Strategic Plan. It calls for continued growth and excellence of our services, increased access to music education in the community, development of 317 Main as a regional cultural destination, and a focus on organizational sustainability. The community’s continued enthusiasm for 317 Main’s programs and services, including a 10-fold increase in our Little Roots early childhood and Deep Roots age 55 and older education programs, provides us with the stable platform to extend ourselves out into the larger community with the goal of increasing access. The growth and demand for community music and the desperate need for the added space to allow 317 Main to execute our plan and fulfill our mission has led the board of directors to begin work on our first capital campaign. There will be much more news to share about this in the coming months. None of this would be possible without the generosity of our donors, the commitment of our students, and the energy, enthusiasm, and dedication of our teaching artists, staff, and board of directors. Thanks to all who are part of making this extraordinary resource a community treasure!
