The project of Ukrainian-language Turkic contacts belongs that dating back to the early during the Middle Ages. The factor of influence of Turkic history on the Ukrainian ethno genesis and their ancestors is even greater.

Ukrainian language was intermediary in the sharing Turkism’s in Western Slavs languages.

The first pre-Ukrainian relations, Turks Old Slavs go back to times when the VI age Middle Ages. Turkic state reaches the Azov and Black Seas, and in VII-VIII centuries in the steppes of today's Ukraine there Turks nomadic tribes.

Turkism’s - the result of Ukrainian-Turkic language contact.

It is believed that in modern Ukrainian language has about 4,000 Turkism (And this is without taking into account their names). Big half of them - commonly: pumpkin, carpet, raisins, sheep, fog, tobacco, pants, brown, horse-tail, shed, market, eagle, shepherd, flock, herd, lasso, watermelon, square, pot, carpet, but others are historicism, dialectic and ekzotism.
