A message from the Executive Director to the Class of 2026

Congratulations Leaders! What you've accomplished is something to be proud of. You've challenged yourselves, stepped outside your comfort zones, built friendships and grown as leaders. That's not something everyone your age is willing to do. As you leave this chapter and begin the next one, remember that leadership isn't about having all the answers. It's about being willing to take the first step, learning from mistakes and continuing to show up even when things don't go as planned. My challenge to you is simple: keep saying yes to opportunities that stretch you.

Introduce yourself to people you don’t know. Ask questions. Stay curious. Take chances. Be the person who includes others, who leads with integrity and who leaves every place a little better than you found it. Never underestimate the impact you can have on someone else's life. Sometimes leadership isn't standing on a stage. Sometimes it's encouraging a teammate, helping a friend or speaking up when it's the right thing to do. Most importantly, remember that this isn't the end of your journey with 21st Century Leaders. You're now part of an incredible alumni network of leaders across Georgia and beyond. Stay connected, keep learning and don't be afraid to reach back and help the next generation of leaders following in your footsteps. This moment represents more than a milestone; it reflects your growth, your perseverance, and your commitment to becoming leaders who make a difference. You have spent years building skills, forming relationships, and stepping into opportunities that have prepared you for what comes next. That foundation will continue to serve you well. As you begin this next chapter, remember that leadership doesn’t end here—it evolves. Wherever your path takes you, stay grounded in your values, continue to challenge yourself to grow, and be willing to go deeper than what’s expected of you. Seek environments that stretch you, surround yourself with people who elevate you, and never lose sight of the impact you can have on others. There will be moments when the road feels uncertain, but trust in your ability to adapt, learn, and move forward with purpose. I plan on continuing my education to become a locum CNRA (traveling nurse anesthetist). While at the same time begin a social media to leverage my future business! Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite memory is the friends I’ve made that have outlasted the camps I attended. Every year I have made some of the friends who have supported me in every way and lasted longer than 21CL camps. 21CL Impact: I have gone from being an insecure, apathetic (towards national issues), to a critically-thinking, confident, professional, genuine leader.

After graduating, I plan to work in cybersecurity. Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite 21CL memory is networking with other peers and with Atlanta CEOs! 21CL Impact: 21st Century Leaders has impacted me as a leader by facilitating me to network with other young leaders in the state and exposing me to great businesses in the state.

Judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again." - Nelson Mandela Future Plans: I plan to attend Alabama State University and major in Business/Marketing. In the future, I hope to grow into a leadership position where I can serve the public, mentor others, and contribute to the safety and well‑being of my community, while continuing to develop professionally and personally. 21CL Impact: 21CL has had a meaningful impact on me both as a leader and as a person. THE GALLOWAY SCHOOL | FULTON COUNTY Favorite Quote: "Don't let the pursuit of tomorrow diminish the joy of today." Future Plans: I plan to attend Spelman College in the fall and major in Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience / pre-med. Long-term, I aspire to strengthen systems of healthcare by expanding access to early intervention and school-based mental health services. As a future psychiatrist or neurologist, I hope to combine research, advocacy, and community partnership to ensure that culturally grounded care is not an exception, but a standard. Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite 21CL memory is undoubtedly SYLI 2025. It was one of the most transformative experiences of my journey, pushing me to think differently and take meaningful action. I connected with some of the most inspiring young leaders across the state of Georgia, many of whom I now consider close friends. The relationships and perspective I gained through this experience have given me a network that will continue to support me in both my personal and professional life. My favorite moment was the talent show which brought everyone together in such a fun and authentic way and created memories I’ll never forget. 21CL Impact: 21CL has impacted me in a many ways. It has allowed me to form lasting connections with equally driven and diverse peers across the state of Georgia that continue to inspire me and encourage me; it has built a foundation for my values that guide how I show up and lead in all spaces with an unwavering commitment to inclusivity and empathy; and has transformed me from a shy person who was extremely self-conscious into someone who shows up confidently in every room, unafraid of connecting with others. For this, I will forever sing praises to this organization and the transformative journey it guided me through during my high school years.

NOTRE DAME ACADEMY | GWINNETT COUNTY Favorite Quote: "Take a kid fishing, and you change their life.” Future Plans: I plan to attend Auburn University or Purdue University and major in aquatic sciences. I hope to pursue a career in aquatic conservation, working with agencies like the DNR to protect fish populations and habitats. Through my experiences with fishing, Eco Angler, and volunteering, I’ve developed a strong passion for both conservation and helping others connect with the outdoors. In the future, I want to combine hands-on fieldwork with community outreach to make a positive impact on the environment and inspire more people, especially kids, to enjoy and protect natural resources. Favorite 21CL Memory: EarthCare Camp helped me develop leadership skills and improve my communication. Through hands-on projects, I learned how to connect what I learned to real-life situations and apply these skills to lead and support my youth volunteer group. 21CL Impact: 21CL has helped me grow as a leader by teaching me to view challenges from a different perspective and collaborate effectively with others toward a common goal. It has also helped me grow as a person by encouraging self-reflection and allowing me to better understand my strengths, values, and how I can make a positive impact.

I want to go to law school and become an attorney! Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite 21CL memory is when I got to mentor a middle school student through my high school's 21CLub program. I am very grateful for the opportunity to give my mentee advice and insight on what to expect in high school and how to succeed. 21CL Impact: 21CL has impacted me as a leader by showing me that leadership is far more than just taking charge; it's about being someone others can easily rely on and trust, serving as a role model and inspiration, and so much more. 21CL has impacted me as a person by providing me multiple opportunities to serve and meet many peers with similar goals and passions as me. Without 21CL, my opportunities would be limited.

Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite memory is getting the opportunity to meet with other high school students from across Georgia. I got an opportunity to come out of my shyness and showcase my talents! 21CL Impact: 21CL has taught me different leadership skills such as communication and I learned how to be active in my community. I now use these skills on an everyday basis.

I hope to become a dermatologist and I'm considering pursuing an art business too. Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite 21CL memory is when our 21CLub chapter made ‘thank you’ cards for GSMST staff members and donated boxes for our annual hygiene drive. 21CL Impact: 21CL has helped solidify what it actually means to be a leader: the character traits, how to handle setbacks, and inspire others.

ARABIA MOUNTAIN HS | DEKALB COUNTY Favorite Quote: "The sky is the limit; the ground is too low for you." - My Father Future Plans: I am planning to attend Florida A&M University and major in Criminal Justice. I aspire to work in a field where I can combine my passion for law, justice, and community service. I am interested in pursuing a career in law or public policy, where I can advocate for fairness, protect people’s rights, and help shape positive change in my community. I hope to use my education to make a meaningful impact while continuing to grow both professionally and personally. Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite 21CL memory would probably be this year’s Winter Summit. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the energy in the room. Being surrounded by students from different schools, all coming together with a shared passion for leadership, made the experience truly special. It wasn’t just another event, it felt like a space where everyone was motivated to grow, connect, and step into their potential. 21CL Impact: 21st Century Leaders has had a powerful impact on me both as a leader and as a person. It has helped me grow in confidence, step outside of my comfort zone, and take initiatives in ways I hadn’t done before. Through events like the Winter Summit and being a Youth Ambassador, I’ve learned that leadership is not just about holding a title, but about serving others, building connections, and creating meaningful change.

ELITE SCHOLARS ACADEMY | CLAYTON COUNTY

Favorite Quote: "Victory favors neither the righteous nor the wicked. It favors the prepared." Future Plans: After HS, I plan to attend Dartmouth College and major in Mechanical Engineering. I ’m stuck between a couple passions: wanting to hold a political office at the highest level in the state of Georgia, wanting to be an engineer focusing on AI discrimination and building equitable systems for minority communities, and wanting to work in the legal system. Favorite 21CL Memory: Definitely when we were shut out of our dorm rooms and had to stay in the classroom for like 6 hours, almost until about 12:00am during Earthcare 2024. I enjoyed it immensely; we talked about the political state of the world, made jokes, and just had a great time. 21CL Impact: It’s taught me even the little details and got me interested in the little things: the only program that taught me how to eat with proper etiquette and interview with proper etiquette. 21st Century Leaders has morphed me into a professional who can survive and thrive in environments that were almost completely foreign to me when I joined.

WESTLAKE HS | FULTON COUNTY Favorite Quote: "To whom much has been given, much will be required.” - Luke 12:48 Future Plans: I plan to attend Hampton University and major in Aviation Management. I hope to become a pilot or work in aviation operations. Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite 21CL memory is working with my fellow 21CL Youth Ambassadors on Christmas gift boxes for kids in a children's hospital. 21CL Impact: 21CL inspired me to get out of my comfort zone and aim to take on more leadership roles. Since joining 21CL, I've engaged in countless volunteer experiences and tried activities I never would have dreamed of. 21CL has played a major role in making me the young man I am today, and I'm grateful for all the opportunities I was afforded through the program.

VIDHI RAIYANI

PUTNAM COUNTY HS | PUTNAM COUNTY Favorite Quote: "Your network is your net worth." or "Be comfortable with being uncomfortable." - Mr. Tim Future Plans: I plan to attend Georgia Institute of Technology and major in Computer Science. I see myself working in a field that combines computer science and finance. Within that, I want to grow into someone who is successful, respected, and still genuine. I want to build a future I’m proud of, while also creating opportunities for others, because success should be bigger than just me. Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite 21CL memories are the late evening “Sharpen the Saw” moments on the last night of the summer institutes. Everyone’s tired from working on the project, but we’re just sitting together anyway, talking with friends, some I’ve known and some I just met. It’s kind of a calm moment after a busy day, and you realize how much actually happened in such a short time. It doesn’t feel like a big, dramatic ending, just a moment that sticks with you! 21CL Impact: 21CL has really changed me in ways I didn’t expect! I’ve grown into someone I probably wouldn’t have become on my own. Starting with giving my first “public speech” at the Earthcare leadership dinner; serving as Youth Ambassador for three years and learning through Leadership Connect and receiving the Leadership Certificate from Emory Goizueta Business School. Through those experiences and the genuine and kind people I met who I am grateful to call friends, I’ve learned and grown tremendously. 21CL has shaped how I see leadership and who I am as a person, and it’s still continuing to do that.

LAKESIDE HS (EVANS) | COLUMBIA COUNTY

Favorite Quote: "I don't like that man. I must get to know him better." Abraham Lincoln Future Plans: I plan to attend Geogia Tech and major in Biomedical Engineering. I aspire to pursue a career in Biomedical Engineering, where I can combine my passion for technology and science to create meaningful innovations in healthcare. In particular, I am fascinated by bioprinting, an emerging technology that has the potential to revolutionize medicine by enabling the creation of living tissues and, one day, fully functional organs. As a biomedical engineer, I hope to contribute to advancements in this field, helping to address organ shortages and improve patient outcomes. By merging engineering principles with medical applications, I aim to be part of a future where personalized, lab-grown solutions transform the way we treat disease and injury. Favorite 21CL Memory: One of my favorite memories from 21CL is during the Healthcare and IT Institute, the summer before my junior year, when I introduced a speaker during the formal dinner. Standing in front of everyone, I felt a mix of nerves and excitement, but as I began speaking, that anxiety quickly turned into confidence. Although I was shaking coming off the stage, I was overjoyed that I had managed to do it. 21CL Impact: 21CL has played a major role in helping me grow into a more confident and effective leader. It gave me an environment where I felt encouraged to step outside my comfort zone, try new things, and take on responsibilities that challenged me. More importantly, 21CL helped me find my voice. I became more comfortable expressing my ideas, engaging with others, and taking ownership of my role in a team.

In the future, I want to begin and manage franchise businesses as well as invest in profitable real estate. I am also interested in trading in international businesses including stocks. Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite 21CL memory is spending time with my peers and networking with Atlanta businessmen. 21CL Impact: 21CL has impacted me as a leader by improving my communication and problem-solving skills. I have also gained confidence when speaking and listening to others.

VERITAS CLASSICAL SCHOOLS | PICKENS COUNTY Favorite Quote: "Yesterday was history, tomorrow is a Mystery and today is a gift.” Future Plans: I plan to attend Atlanta Technical College and major in Culinary Arts. I aspire to be a great professional in the hospitality and tourism industries. Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite 21st Century Leaders memory is while during the summer institute we learned how to keep the chemicals from the kitchen. 21CL Impact: 21CL has strengthened my leadership skills and offered me opportunities to help younger youth be better.

ALLATOONA HS | COBB COUNTY Favorite Quote: "No matter how much you knock at the door of someone else’s heart you can’t change them. Every time, you have to change yourself.” Future Plans: I plan to attend University of Alabama at Birmingham and major in Information Systems. Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite memory will always be the talent show towards the end of SYLI; seeing everyone be happy with each other's company proved that we really got close over the course of that week. 21CL Impact: 21CL has shown me how to truly be myself no matter what others think. As long as I speak clearly and stick to my morals I can overcome anything.

NORTH ATLANTA HS | FULTON COUNTY Favorite Quote: "Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” - Oscar Wilde Future Plans: I plan to attend Georgia Southern University and major in Psychology. I've always wanted to be a doctor, but I was always scared of blood, needles, etc. When I found out that a psychiatrist was a doctor, I didn’t do anything about it at first, but then I became extremely interested in learning more about what they do. I really feel like they have an important job because they know the basics of human development and the human brain, and they understand people on a deeper level and are able to help them. Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite 21CL memory is attending a summit at Emory University and learning more about leadership and business. 21CL Impact: 21CL helped me be more organized and dedicated. I’ve learned new skills that are helpful with real world problems and things that go on.

ARABIA MOUNTAIN HS | DEKALB COUNTY

Favorite Quote: "It is not the strongest of the species that survives... it is the one that is most adaptable to change." ‬ Future Plans: I plan to attend Howard University and major in Political Science. After completing my undergraduate degree, I plan to attend law school to continue working toward my long-term goal of a career in law, either as a lawyer or as a criminal defense attorney. I hope to make a positive impact on the justice system and help ensure that people have a fair chance to defend something greater than themselves. Favorite 21CL Memory: My most cherished memories from 21CL occured during SYLI, meeting lots of new people and forming great friendships along the way. The experience was incredibly powerful! I felt comfortable being myself- being able to open up, have meaningful conversations with others, being able to connect with peers and professionals! Participating in the Insight Global Challenge was a fantastic experience too! 21CL Impact: I am now more confident in my ability to lead & be a positive influence on those around me.

MIDTOWN HS| FULTON COUNTY Favorite Quote: "There are generally 2 types of LLM users, those that use it to learn everything, and those that use it so they don't have to learn anything" - Mark Cuban Future Plans: I plan to attend Emory University, Oxford Campus London launch and major in Psychology. After college, I hope to start a business still undecided about details but something to do with technology! Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite 21CL memory is getting advice from Mr. Tim! 21CL Impact: 21CL has definitely helped improve my presentation skills and it’s been a unique opportunity because it’s difficult to choose to do difficult things with your time voluntarily.

UTOPIAN ACADEMY FOR THE ARTS HS | CLAYTON COUNTY

I would like to be the CEO of my own school and later on be a mayor or state representative. Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite 21CL memory is while attending ....and playing this game outside in the courtyard walking in a circle and would step out if the prompt related to your situation. LANDMARK CHRISTIAN SCHOOL | FULTON COUNTY Favorite Quote: "Do everything as if it was the most important thing in the world, knowing it does not matter at all.” Future Plans: I plan to attend Georgia Institute of Technology and major in Business Administration-Finance. My career aspiration is to become an investment banker. Favorite 21CL Memory: One of my favorite memories from 21st Century Leaders is attending a Summit. It was one of the most impactful parts of the entire program for me. Being surrounded by so many driven students from across Georgia really pushed me to step out of my comfort zone and be more intentional and open, both in conversations and in leadership situations. 21CL Impact: Being part of 21st Century Leaders has honestly changed how I see leadership. It’s also made me more intentional. Whether it’s working on a team project, leading in athletics, or even running my business, I think more about how my actions affect the people around me. I’ve become better at communicating, staying organized, and following through, especially when others are depending on me.

EMANUEL COUNTY INSTITUTE | EMANUEL COUNTY Favorite Quote: "Be the change you wish to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi Future Plans: I plan to attend Georgia Institute of Technology and major in civil engineering. I want to be an engineer who uses creativity with intention, someone who designs solutions that make everyday life safer, more sustainable, and more accessible for everyone. I hope my legacy reflects not only the structures I help build, but also the people whose lives those designs strengthen. Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite memory at 21CL was attending the Goizueta Youth Leadership Summit. I had the chance to network with so many inspiring people and made connections that I know will last a lifetime. One of the highlights was working with others to solve a challenging problem within a tight time frame—it was intense but incredibly rewarding 21CL Impact: Before joining 21CL, I was incredibly shy and scared. I didn’t believe my voice had value, so I often stayed silent when I should have spoken up. Being part of 21CL showed me that even the people I admire most are also scared and imperfect, which made me realize that I can do exactly what they are doing. I learned that there will never be a moment when we are completely free of fear, but despite that, we can still take action.

JEFFERSON COUNTY HS | JEFFERSON COUNTY Favorite Quote: "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” - Psalm 23:1 Future Plans: I plan to attend Valdosta State University and major in Accounting. I aspire to own a business and help improve financial literacy in the world. Making sure I am good in my career will help me be there for others. Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite memory is when my 21Club had a hygiene drive for the Special Education department. We bonded while sorting out different hygiene products and putting into boxes for them. 21CL Impact: 21CL has helped me realize that it’s very important to learn, not just for yourself, but so that you can be useful to others.

After getting the assignment for our group project, I remember coming together with all of my team and just beginning to brainstorm, bouncing our ideas off each other, sharing what we thought would and wouldn't work, concepts for our theme, and a bunch of other things. Those next few hours we spent working on and practicing our presentation were the best moments of the entire week. We worked on our assignment and stayed on task, but we also got to have fun, getting to know each other better and sharing things like our hobbies and interests. Luckily for us, our hard work paid off and we received second place in the competition. 21CL Impact: 21CL has made me not only a more competent and confident leader, but also a better person. Before joining, I knew I had the abilities to be a leader but wasn't confident in myself to use those abilities. But through 21CL, I learned from others that there is more than one way to be a leader. I don't have to be the loudest or most flamboyant in the room to be a good leader. I can use my personal, quieter strengths to my advantage and still make a change.

I aspire to work in the brand management space but, I also have interest in environmental science and material engineering specifically the creation and utilization of green spaces in cities through real estate. Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite 21CL memory is towards the end of the SYLI camp in 2025, when I was able to make great friends interested in similar passions as mine of pursuing a career in business. 21CL Impact: 21CL exposed me to environments and contacts that helped bring out my potential and who I have always aspired to be. At first, I never understood the importance of being a leader and leaving an impact. Through 21CL, I learned how leadership is packaged in many ways. And I was happy to know that even when I may not be the loudest in the room, but lead with morality, that’s good leadership I want to identify myself with.

I aspire to become an entertainment/copyright lawyer. Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite memory is from my time at SYLI when we did mock trials as lawyers defending a client. This really stood out to me because I believe this was the point when I decided what I wanted to do with my future career. 21CL Impact: Attending 21CL programs has easily become the most influential thing I've ever done. Without 21st Century Leaders, I truly wouldn't be as courageous and articulate as I am today. It has taught me the importance of networking (Your network is your net worth), and I couldn't be more grateful.

Favorite 21CL Memory: One of my favorite 21CL memories is during the Film & Entertainment Institute (FEI) when we participated in a speed networking session with professionals from Warner Bros. Discovery. It was such an eyeopening experience because I learned about careers in media that I never even knew existed. Hearing everyone share their journeys showed me how every role has an impact behind the scenes. The experience inspired me to think bigger about my future and explore new career paths. 21CL Impact: 21CL has impacted me by helping me realize that leadership is not something you wait to be given, it is something you choose to take initiative on. One thing that stood out to me is how often I used to wait for the “right moment” to contribute, but 21CL made me realize that leadership is also about stepping in even when you are still figuring things out. I have started to become more comfortable with that uncertainty and trust that my perspective still has value even if it is not fully formed yet. That mindset shift is part of what pushed me to take initiative outside of class, including starting work on Global Youth Ambassadors (GYA). I wanted to create something meaningful for students, especially English Language Learner students, to have a voice and be part of conversations that affect them. Overall, it has helped me become more aware of my presence in a room and more intentional about how I show up, not just when I am speaking, but also when I am learning.

My goal is to become a wildlife veterinarian. Favorite 21CL Memory: My favorite 21CL memory is meeting my best friend! Freshman year of high school, we both went to 21CL's Fall Summit. I recognized her, so I went up to her and started a conversation. Since then, we've gotten closer and I couldn't be prouder of her :). 21CL Impact: 21CL made me realize that I don't have to be the loudest person in the room to command attention. I can lead in my own style, by being confident, a good listener, and so forth. As a person, 21CL has made me become more confident.
