Brent Jonas

Brent Jonas joined Sustain SC in September 2022 as its first ever Chief Operating Officer. Brent is a tenured economic development strategist with nearly 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors of real estate, health insurance and finance.

Prior to joining Sustain SC, Brent spent seven years as the Director of Stakeholder Relations for the Charleston Regional Development Alliance. During that time, he played a major part in cultivating and maintaining new and existing investors and strengthening relationships with public and private stakeholders.

Brent has served in many roles throughout his career including Director of the South Carolina Board of Long Term Health Care Administrators, Budget Analyst on the SC House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee, and Special Assistant to the President of Trident Technical College, and Commercial Realtor.

Brent holds a degree in political science from Presbyterian College and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of South Carolina.
