Wayne Prins
Wayne Prins has been with Magna for 25 years primarily within the Cosma Body Divisions in Canada and the U.S.

Wayne’s has direct Manufacturing experience as a Tool and Die Maker, Program Manager, Supervision and Production Management within various Magna Divisions from 1999 until 2015.
For the the last seven years Wayne has been the Energy Reduction Lead and the Sustainability Champion for Drive Automotive which is one of Magna/Cosma’s Flag Ship Divisions in Piedmont South Carolina.
Wayne also manages their Facilities Department, the WCM Department and Employee Training system and Employee Training programs.
Wayne has also recently accepted the North American SME position for Facilities Standards for Magna Canada, Mexico and the U.S. which has a prime objective of creating Facilities Standards across all Magna Divisions with a high focus on Sustainability and World Class Manufacturing practices.
Wayne holds a Volkswagen Tradesman certificate in Tool and Die as well as a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Senior Waste Logistics Specialist at BMW Manufacturing Plant Spartanburg in position for 21 years, responsible for the waste management and recycling contract for the movement of the waste streams from the point of generation to final disposition.
• Helped drive the Zero Landfill at Plant Spartanburg since the end of 2009.
• Mentoring local schools and businesses on recycling and how to get started to be landfill free.
• Leading the “Green team” at BMW
• Works with all departments as well as onsite contractors to promote recycling and the proper disposal of all waste streams.
• Chair for Recycling Market Development and Advisory Council for the state of South Carolina. And former President and board member for the Carolina Recycling Association.
