Project introduction The ‘Contributed Content’ project aims to intervene between the book on the shelf and the library by adding more content to the book, without authorization. The library is a collection of books and periodicals held in a public-access space. the collection of information including books, articles, DVDs, and magazines, the collection will be increased as time goes on. To keep track of the books, the visitors are required to have an account to take something out of the library, but there are no rules for adding or contributing something to be a part of the growing collection.

The object of distribution is a piece of paper inserted into a relative book. The purpose is to focus on the interpretation, physicality, or textural of the object, the simplicity of a piece of paper, and the potential that it could be. By using paper manipulation it will become something more than a 2D piece of paper.

The project is located in the AUT library on the 6th floor. It will be installed on 13 October 2023, 1 p.m. and it will continue to exist until someone takes ownership of it by removing the object from the book.

The project has an underlying message of highlighting the different types of learners, which are; visual, auditory, read/ write, and kinaesthetic.

Most of the books contain written words, which could be spoken out loud for reading and auditory learners, but not every book contains images or interactable objects inside the book. The ‘Contributed Content’ project is aimed at helping other certain group of learners.

instruction This book would act as a guide and a documentation of the project. The book contain the information about the tampered book and its location. However this does not guarantee that the object would still be in the book.

You, as a reader, are allow to take a single page out of this book by removing the rubberband and take the desire page out and find the object. However, you cannot take the introduction and layout page, which would be signed and dated by the participants.
