Role Benchmark This is a description of the competencies and capability required for effective job performance for each role within the function. Having visibility of this information will enable you to identify longer term direction and priorities for your development.

Training Courses Training courses addressing the Functional, Business and Leadership skill areas for each role are listed. Some are mandatory and some are optional. Participation in optional courses will depend upon your individual needs and should be discussed with your manager.

Whilst training courses are listed, on-the-job experiences should provide for the majority of your Personal Development Plan (PDP). This is because on-the-job experiences generally result in better retention of knowledge and application of skills. Training courses should only be included in your Personal Development Plan as part of a broader on-the-job development process.

It will enable you to plan for the outcome of influence; understand and use body language to influence; use language with precision to influence others and how to deal with doubters and handle objections.

This course will enable you to effectively plan for and manage a project or task. It will help you to establish the scope, definition and resources available for a project, apply various creativity, planning and problem solving tools and evaluate project outcomes.

This course is about delivering consumer communications that create a loyal longterm user for your Brand and the tools Marketers can use to spot and nurture them. It will enable you to use best practices and tools to build brand equity, actively lead the advertising development process using the RB approach, judge advertising in consistent RB way and clearly brief an agency in the RB way.

This course will develop your ability to prepare an Insightful Concept for market research studies and to write an effective Communication Brief that will generate advertising, which changes consumer behaviour. The course uses a real RB concept project as a vehicle for learning and by the end of the course you will leave with a completed Concept and Communication Brief for a real business project.
