words: castillo photos: cobbs Being one of the guys in BMX that is pushing the boundaries is no easy task. Rob is always on the brink of doing an epic trick or dying on doing an epic trick. He holds nothing back. Last year in Spain, Rob was jumping down a stair gap to double peg and completely pulled it but ran chest first into a pole. He lacerated his liver. In true Rob fashion, he ignored the pain and got on a plane back to the States instead of getting looked at in Spain. He later found out the hard way on the plane trip back he said it was tremendously painful. When Rob landed State-side, the doctors said if he ignored it for another couple hours, he would have died due to loss of blood. If none of you guys have ever seen Rob ride in video or in person, you’re in for a treat. I’ve been seeing the footage roll in of Rob for Last Chance, it’s the gnarliest, most technical new riding that I’ve seen in a long time. Rob is the definition of “FULL THROTTLE!”
