Greetings Brothers of the Thirteenth District,

Ricky L. Lewis Grand Basileus rickylewis@earthlink.net

I want to first and foremost thank you for your service to our beloved Omega and thank your families for allowing you to serve. The State of Omega is great and our brand is strong as we continue to exemplify the tenets of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift. Thank you for re-electing me as your 42nd Grand Basileus in Tampa of our beloved Fraternity and I look forward to serving you for two more years. Let’s continue to uphold the precepts of our illustrious Founders!

Congratulations to the brothers of Nu Nu Nu(Tri Nu) chapter on hosting the 32nd Thirteenth District meeting. We thank you for your continued commitment to the tenants of our beloved Founders of service to our communities. Having been a District Marshal on two separate occasions, I commend the service of Brother Marvin Chisolm for his steadfast leadership as District Marshal.

When I sought to become the 42nd Grand Basileus, I said to you that “Excellence Is My Starting Point.” I said that integrity and character are paramount. We have kept our word!

Inourcommunitiesworld-wide,wehaveourmandatedprogramsandwehaveourrecentlyaddedprograms. We actively do these things – Fatherhood Initiative and Mentoring is now a mandate, searching for and Illuminating Young talent and providing scholarship support – and we do these things not for ego or personal gain – but instead because it is our duty and our charge. Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) is now a mandate, teaching our young men the importance of embracing technology.

During my administration, we are here to serve you and our communities. We are asking you to serve our communities and make a difference. We shall not lose the common touch!

Number 1. Commitment to our youth through mentoring, STEM, scholarships, and tutoring.

Number 2. Help fathers to be better fathers through our Fatherhood Initiative.

Number 3. Stay engaged with our brotherhood through (BYOMM): Call and check on a brother.

Number 4. Save our HBCUs through regular and consistent contributions.

Number 5. Invest in Omega; pay your fraternity dues and reclaim just one additional brother.

If we resolve to do these five things and do them well, we will continue to see the undeniable fulfillment in our communities and our commitment to taking Omega NEXT LEVEL!

Yours in Friendship,

Ricky L. Lewis, Grand Basileus

Brothers, Family, Friends and Guests,

On behalf of Brother Freddie Thompson IV, the 12th Thirteenth District Representative and the Brothers of the Nu Nu Nu (TriNu) Chapter, I welcome you to the island of Hispaniola for the 32nd Annual Thirteenth International District Meeting. This district meeting is being hosted from 3-7 April in the city of Puerto Plata on the beautiful north coast of the Dominican Republic. We extend to each of you a warm welcome, know that it is our pleasure to serve as your hosts for a weekend of Omega business and Fraternal fellowship in a relaxed and inviting environment.

The primary purpose of the annual district meeting is to conduct the business of Omega. However, District Representative Thompson, has placed a priority on affording time in the schedule for all attendees and their guests to enjoy the island of Hispaniola and all that it has to offer. We will conduct Omega’s business and have planned opportunities for each of you to participate in our social action orphanage visit, a golf scramble, and an afternoon of Caribbean excursions at the conclusion of business on Saturday or you can simply enjoy the ambiance and relaxing amenities afforded by the Blue JackTar Hotel and by extension the Playa Dorada resort complex.

I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank the brothers of the TriNu chapter for the hard work and dedication required to develop, coordinate and manage the various district meeting agendas and events while ensuring an overall successful meeting. Our thanks also go out to all of the ladies from across the district and Fraternity for their full support and participation in the exciting Quette agenda and fellowship. With an eye towards reclamation and retention there will also be multiple opportunities for fraternal fellowship for our International Que Experience registered brothers.

I look forward to seeing each of you during the meeting. If I can be of any assistance feel free to email me at 13thDistrictMarshal2025@gmail.com

Fraternally,
