This initiative significantly reduced application processing times and represented a milestone in NAB’s digital transformation program. • Personal Loan Application Platform Redevelopment (2018): Oversaw the complete redevelopment of NAB’s digital personal loan application forms across web and mobile platforms. I coordinated backend and frontend development teams, aligned evolving scope, and facilitated Agile delivery practices to ensure on-time deployment. The solution enabled seamless application submission for new and existing customers, enhancing user experience and enabling more efficient assessment by lending staff. It also laid the groundwork for subsequent digital lending enhancements. • Self-Service Dispute Resolution Capability: Enabled customers to initiate transaction disputes via NAB’s digital platforms, integrating seamlessly with Mastercard and Visa systems. I coordinated multi-stream Agile delivery, supported systems integration, and ensured alignment with compliance and risk teams. This solution improved dispute resolution timelines and reduced reliance on call centres. • ASIC-Compliant Web App Upgrade for Fund Access: Led the enhancement of NAB’s fund access platform in compliance with ASIC obligations, improving operational access during insolvency scenarios. I collaborated across product, technology and regulatory teams to ensure compliance, usability, and data integrity. The upgrade improved banker efficiency and met all mandated reporting requirements. Senior Business Analyst RESPONSIBILITIES: • As a Senior Business Analyst, I gathered, documented and validated detailed business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops and process analysis. I created comprehensive user stories, acceptance criteria, and process maps to support Agile delivery. I facilitated Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, grooming sessions and showcases to support iterative delivery cycles. I championed the establishment of a dedicated Business Analyst forum to promote standardisation, uplift delivery practices, and improve alignment across project teams. ACHIEVEMENTS: • Agile Delivery Forum Establishment (2017): Initiated and facilitated a cross-functional Agile forum aimed at enhancing delivery consistency and standardising best practices across teams. I brought together Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners to align on user story formatting, ceremony protocols, and stakeholder engagement. Through collaborative discussions and shared documentation, the forum significantly improved the clarity of Agile artefacts, strengthened inter-team alignment, and fostered a culture of continuous improvement. Although later disbanded due to structural changes, it was recognised by leadership as a valuable initiative that elevated Agile maturity across the division. • Online Business Account Application Project (2017): Led the business analysis for the design and delivery of a web-based application form that enabled business customers to open transaction accounts online. I conducted detailed requirements gathering, stakeholder workshops, and process walkthroughs to define functional specifications, including ABN verification and digital ID validation. The solution reduced the need for in-branch visits, improved accessibility for SMEs, and alleviated operational pressure on frontline staff. This project marked a pivotal achievement early in my NAB tenure, demonstrating my capacity to manage complexity and deliver high-impact digital solutions. • Streamlined Business Onboarding Solution (2017): Spearheaded the development of a digital onboarding framework by translating regulatory requirements and user needs into structured user stories and acceptance criteria. I worked across legal, compliance, and IT teams to ensure the solution met policy obligations and technical feasibility. My end-to-end involvement ensured requirement traceability, supported seamless development and testing cycles, and enabled the successful deployment of a high-utility form still in use prior to platform upgrades. This initiative delivered measurable improvements in customer experience, operational efficiency, and process transparency. Page | 3

Dear Mr Peralta,
8 June 2025
Re: Project Support Lead (VPSG5) Demonstrating exceptional results as a strategic digital support professional, I am eager to contribute my extensive experience and leadership capabilities in the role of Project Support Lead at the Department of Education. I am strongly aligned with the Department’s mission to support lifelong learning, inclusive participation and the healthy development of all Victorians. My practice is informed by public value, digital equity and integrity in service design, core principles that guide my approach to leading support environments. With over fifteen years of multifaceted experience across the public sector, higher education, and health domains, I have consistently delivered quantifiable advancements in digital service optimisation, enterprise system integration, strategic stakeholder engagement and workforce capability uplift. My portfolio spans the full continuum of digital transformation from high-level strategic planning and governance frameworks through to human-centred systems design, change enablement, and post-deployment evaluation across complex, compliance-bound, multi-site environments. I offer a distinctive synthesis of diagnostic acuity, transformative leadership and holistic systems thinking, grounded in an unwavering dedication to public sector excellence and equitable service provision. The following examples illustrate how my capabilities align with the key requirements of the Support Lead role. Criteria 1: Demonstrates the Victorian Public Sector Values: I consistently demonstrate the Victorian Public Sector Values of Responsiveness, Integrity, Impartiality, Accountability, Respect, Leadership and Human Rights in all aspects of my work. My leadership approach is grounded in ethical conduct, inclusive service design, and transparent decision-making. I actively foster equity, accountability, and public value across complex service and system environments. While leading compliance coordination for SA Health’s Aged Care Portfolio, I partnered with Directors of Nursing and multidisciplinary care teams to prepare for unannounced audits by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission. These audits often occurred under high-pressure circumstances, requiring rapid mobilisation and culturally sensitive engagement. I facilitated clear, impartial communication with stakeholders, developed evidence-based quality documentation, and supported staff with interpretive guidance on national standards. By embedding a culture of integrity, continuous improvement, and shared responsibility, we achieved positive audit outcomes and strengthened governance practices across sites servicing diverse populations. While consulting on a community-based digital literacy program for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, I prioritised respectful engagement and human rights by co-designing the curriculum with community leaders and elders. I facilitated safe forums to gather insights, ensuring neutrality and cultural sensitivity throughout. Integrity and impartiality guided my recommendations, which focused on equitable access to public services through improved digital fluency. The final program enhanced trust in government services and demonstrated my steadfast commitment to the values of responsiveness, respect, and inclusion in diverse community contexts. In my role as Program Administrator for the Patient Assistance Transport Scheme (PATS), I led a major redesign of the program’s digital interface to enhance equity and access for regional clients. Many users faced barriers due to language, literacy, or digital disadvantage. I facilitated collaborative consultation with regional service providers, Aboriginal health representatives, and local councils to capture needs. I then advocated for a plain-English, WCAG-compliant, mobileresponsive platform that reflected the Department’s commitment to human rights and inclusion. The upgraded portal significantly improved client experience and digital participation rates, demonstrating my capacity to operationalise respect, responsiveness, and fairness in public service delivery. Criteria 2: Technical Specialist: I bring deep technical expertise in functional analysis, system integration, and the delivery of scalable, user-focused digital solutions. My work consistently bridges technical complexity with real-world usability, while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and stakeholder needs. I am highly experienced in business process reengineering, workflow optimisation, and vendor collaboration across health, education, and government settings. As Senior Business Analyst on the LeeCare Expansion Project, I led the functional analysis, process mapping, and system configuration activities across 48 aged care sites in regional and remote South Australia. I facilitated targeted discovery workshops with clinical, administrative, and executive users to surface inefficiencies and define required capabilities. I authored functional specifications, created test scripts, and conducted user acceptance testing across multiple facilities. Working in consultation with the vendor and policy leads, I aligned the configuration with legislative requirements, privacy protocols, and aged care standards. The result was a cohesive clinical records platform that supported improved workflow continuity, enhanced compliance reporting, and better service delivery across a geographically dispersed and culturally diverse network. While at TAFE SA, I led the functional implementation of a new student scheduling and attendance tracking module within the existing Student Information System (SIS). I engaged academic and administrative staff to document workflow variations, performed gap analysis against the system’s core capabilities, and translated requirements into detailed functional specifications. Working alongside the vendor and internal ICT teams, I oversaw the configuration, testing and staged deployment of the module across campuses. The solution eliminated duplication, improved data accuracy and delivered a more streamlined experience for students and staff, demonstrating my ability to drive functional innovation within regulated educational environments.
In my current PMO role with SA Health, I support the rollout of two critical digital initiatives: the Windows 11 Upgrade and the implementation of a Joint Learning Management System across multiple health sites. My responsibilities span readiness assessments, change impact analysis, and resolution of cross-platform configuration issues. I collaborate with project managers, ICT specialists, and site coordinators to resolve technical issues, facilitate structured UAT cycles and capture user feedback for continuous improvement. I have documented complex user scenarios, led defect triage sessions and managed the preparation of implementation artefacts. These actions have contributed directly to improved system readiness, reduced deployment risk, and greater stakeholder confidence in both initiatives. Criteria 3: Digital and Technological Literacy: I possess advanced digital literacy developed through extensive experience in leading technology-driven transformation projects. My approach combines strong technical fluency with a user-centred mindset, ensuring that digital systems are both operationally effective and accessible. I excel in translating complex ICT concepts into actionable improvements that deliver measurable business value and enhance user engagement. At the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC), I led the redevelopment of an outdated and fragmented online payment platform that had become prone to transaction errors and high customer service demand. I prepared the business case outlining financial risk exposure, consulted with IT and finance teams, and coordinated vendor engagement to implement a new secure payment gateway. I also oversaw functional and regression testing, introduced real-time validation features, and developed change communications for diverse user groups. The upgrade enhanced data accuracy, reduced complaint volumes, and delivered tangible cost savings, while also meeting PCI compliance and usability benchmarks. The project demonstrated my capacity to lead high-stakes ICT upgrades with both technical and stakeholder complexity. While working with the Aboriginal Health Council of South Australia (AHCSA), I led the transition from manual reporting to a cloud-based data analytics platform to enhance monitoring of regional health program outcomes. I collaborated with IT consultants to configure data fields, created user guidance materials, and trained staff across multiple remote sites with varying levels of digital confidence. I also integrated compliance indicators aligned with national health performance frameworks. The shift improved data integrity, enabled near real-time reporting, and empowered local teams to use analytics in their own planning and service refinement, highlighting my ability to embed practical, scalable digital tools that strengthen program impact. While at TAFE SA, I was tasked with overhauling a disjointed and decentralised intranet system that impeded internal communication and digital literacy. I engaged more than 20 departmental stakeholders to identify content requirements, pain points, and workflow constraints. I evaluated CMS options, led the vendor selection process, and oversaw implementation of a contemporary, scalable content platform. To maintain content quality, I developed and enforced governance protocols and delivered staff training modules tailored to varying digital capabilities. This initiative significantly uplifted institutional communication, empowered content owners, and fostered a more connected and digitally proficient workforce, reinforcing my strength in embedding sustainable digital solutions within complex public sector environments. Criteria 4: Managing People: I am a values-led people leader with extensive experience managing multidisciplinary teams in complex service environments. My leadership style is collaborative and outcomes-focused, underpinned by a strong commitment to staff development, inclusion, and continuous improvement. I foster accountability, psychological safety, and performance uplift by aligning individual capability with organisational priorities. As Acting Manager for RMCLHN Country Health Connect, I exercised HR and financial delegations while leading teams across multiple rural health sites. I implemented targeted coaching sessions and facilitated performance reviews to support capability development and strengthen role clarity. Recognising gaps in digital fluency and communication, I introduced tailored upskilling initiatives and embedded reflective practice into weekly meetings. I also worked closely with union delegates and site managers to navigate industrial matters with transparency and respect. These initiatives collectively enhanced service continuity, reduced staff turnover and established a workplace culture characterised by shared accountability, trust, and professional growth. In my role overseeing the Patient Assistance Transport Scheme (PATS), I led a team of administration and customer-facing staff during a major system transition. Aware of change fatigue and workload pressures, I designed a structured onboarding framework, created quick-reference guides, and introduced regular debriefing sessions to improve team cohesion and resilience. I also developed dashboards to monitor KPIs such as turnaround times and case escalations, using the data to identify performance trends and provide timely feedback. By enhancing workflows, communication, and support structures, I improved morale, increased service quality, and enabled staff to confidently deliver a complex public-facing program. In my earlier role as Project Lead for a statewide community health initiative, I was responsible for coordinating a cross-functional team comprising clinical consultants, IT analysts, and regional program officers. The project faced early challenges due to unclear role boundaries and inconsistent communication across sites. I conducted a team strengths assessment, clarified responsibilities, and introduced weekly stand-ups and shared project dashboards to improve alignment and transparency. I also mentored junior team members through targeted skill-building tasks and facilitated conflict resolution conversations when needed. These efforts cultivated a high-performing team culture, improved delivery timelines and strengthened stakeholder confidence in the program’s leadership. I bring to this role a proven capacity for strategic leadership in ICT support, systems thinking, and public value delivery. With an unwavering commitment to accessibility, equity, and sector improvement, I am confident I can contribute meaningfully to the success of the Student Insight Support Team. Find attached my résumé for your consideration. I welcome the opportunity to discuss how my experience aligns with the Department’s vision for excellence in digital education services. Yours sincerely,
Leanne Brookes

RACHAEL EVANS 0403 333 333 rachael-evans@gmail.com Chinchilla QLD 4413 29 January 2026 Dear Hiring Panel,
Re: Business Partner Work, Health, Safety and Wellbeing | Position No: 20012 I am writing to apply for the above position with Cassowary Coast Regional Council as recently advertised. Demonstrating an enduring commitment to proactive risk management, workforce safety and wellbeing and the disciplined application of legislative and governance frameworks, I am motivated to contribute my professional expertise in WHS assurance, risk assessment and continuous improvement within a complex, service-oriented local government environment. I respect Cassowary Coast Regional Council’s mission and values, including its commitment to community safety, ethical governance, accountability and service excellence. I recognise the critical role Council plays in protecting the wellbeing of its workforce, contractors and the community, while delivering essential services across a diverse regional environment. Certificate IV Work Health and Safety and Experience in a Medium to Large Organisation: I hold a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and bring more than two decades of experience working within large, highly regulated organisations, most recently within the Queensland oil and gas sector. My professional background has been firmly grounded in asset-intensive, contractorheavy operational environments where formal WHS systems, statutory compliance and structured risk governance are embedded into daily operational decision making. I have operated within complex organisational structures that require clear accountability, disciplined governance and consistent application of safety processes across multiple workgroups and contractors. This experience has provided me with a practical and well-developed understanding of how WHS frameworks function beyond policy, and how WHS professionals can effectively partner with leaders and frontline teams to embed safety expectations, manage risk proportionately and deliver compliant, sustainable and operationally realistic safety outcomes. Knowledge of Relevant Legislation, Regulations and Codes of Practice: I possess a well-developed working knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, associated regulations and relevant codes of practice, including those relating to consultation, hazard management, confined space activities and permit to work systems. I routinely interpret legislative and procedural requirements and translate them into practical guidance, risk controls and safe work expectations that can be readily understood and applied by operational personnel. For example, in my role supporting high-risk maintenance and inspection activities, I have applied the confined space provisions of the WHS Regulations by reviewing risk assessments, verifying isolation and atmospheric testing controls, and ensuring consultation and authorisation requirements were met prior to entry. This work required balancing legislative compliance with operational constraints while ensuring documentation and controls were defensible and audit ready. My approach prioritises clarity, proportionality and defensibility, ensuring legislative intent is met without creating unnecessary administrative burden. Experience with WHS Management Systems and Processes: I have extensive experience operating within established WHS Management Systems, supporting their effective implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement within highly regulated operational environments. This has included maintaining audit-ready documentation, registers and records, supporting internal governance and assurance activities, and contributing to periodic system reviews. For example, in my current role I have supported compliance assurance by maintaining Permit to Work documentation, confined space registers, risk assessment records and contractor safety documentation in a manner that ensures traceability, version control and readiness for internal and external review. I understand the importance of consistency, accountability and evidence-based governance within WHS systems and apply a methodical and disciplined approach that withstands both internal scrutiny and external audit across complex multi-disciplinary operational teams and diverse contractor interfaces. WHS Risk Management Practices and Incident Investigation Methodology: Risk assessment is a central component of my professional practice. In my role as Plant Technician at Shell QGC’s Condamine Power Station, I routinely draft, review and approve risk assessments for both routine and non-routine activities undertaken by employees and contractors within the operational compound. This includes the review of contractor-submitted Safe Work Method Statements to ensure hazards are comprehensively identified, risk ratings are appropriate, and control measures are effective, current and suitable for the specific task and operating conditions. I verify alignment between documented controls, Permit to Work requirements and isolation plans, and confirm that residual risks are understood, communicated and accepted prior to work commencement. I also participate in structured incident investigations by gathering factual information, contributing to root cause analysis and supporting the development, implementation and tracking of corrective and preventative actions according to organisational procedures. This approach reflects my strong risk awareness and commitment to continual verification, field-based assurance and proactive risk management rather than reliance on historical performance or the absence of previous incidents. Report Writing, Data Collection and WHS Performance Reporting: I bring demonstrated capability in WHS-related report writing, data collection and performance reporting. In my role as Plant Technician at Shell QGC’s Condamine Power Station, I am responsible for maintaining accurate and reliable WHS and safety-related records, including risk assessment documentation, Permit to Work records, isolation certificates and contractor compliance evidence generated through daily operations. Following a confined space inspection activity, I contributed to collating and reviewing risk assessments, permits, isolation verification records and post-activity documentation to ensure all legislative and procedural requirements were met and appropriately recorded for audit readiness, traceability, governance assurance and continuous improvement.
I have prepared written summaries and supporting documentation for operational and management review, drawing on safety data, observations and compliance records to confirm control effectiveness and identify any follow-up actions. I have also supported the collection and review of WHS performance data to monitor trends, verify corrective actions and inform continuous improvement activities. Planning, Organisation and Ability to Work Independently: As a highly self-motivated professional, I have developed strong planning, organisational and prioritisation skills through long-term work in complex and high-risk operational environments. In my role as Plant Technician at Shell QGC’s Condamine Power Station, I routinely operate with a high degree of autonomy, coordinating daily work activities, managing competing operational priorities and ensuring critical safety and compliance requirements are met within required timeframes. For example, during after-hours and weekend operations, I have independently assessed work readiness, verified Permit to Work and isolation requirements, and made decisions regarding task sequencing and escalation in accordance with established governance frameworks. This has required sound judgement, composure and accountability to ensure work proceeds safely, risks are appropriately managed and continuity is maintained. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Digital Systems: I have high proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, which I use extensively for reporting, data analysis, presentations and professional correspondence. In my role as Plant Technician at Shell QGC’s Condamine Power Station, I routinely use Microsoft Word and Excel to prepare and review WHS documentation, maintain registers, track actions and compile compliance records for operational and management review. I also use Outlook to coordinate work activities, communicate safety requirements and manage approvals across multidisciplinary teams. In addition, I work confidently within digital systems that support maintenance management, compliance tracking and WHS documentation, and I adapt readily to new platforms and reporting tools to ensure information remains accurate, accessible and audit ready. Behavioural Competencies and Professional Attributes: I demonstrate strong professional integrity, accountability and collaboration in all aspects of my work, particularly within high-risk and highly regulated operational environments. In my role as Plant Technician at Shell QGC’s Condamine Power Station, I work closely with operations, maintenance, contractors and safety personnel, engaging respectfully and constructively to support shared ownership of safety outcomes rather than relying on enforcement alone. I am recognised as a reliable and consistent team member who follows through on commitments, raises concerns appropriately and supports others to meet safety expectations. I bring a strong learner mindset, actively seeking opportunities to strengthen my knowledge through formal training, procedural reviews and engagement with subject matter experts. I also operate with a healthy sense of caution and professional scepticism, remaining alert to emerging risks, changes in operating conditions and early indicators of control degradation, rather than relying solely on the absence of incidents as assurance. This approach supports informed decision making and contributes to sustained, proactive safety performance. Driver’s Licence and Qualifications: I hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and have delivered toolbox talks, procedural briefings and on-the-job instruction to employees and contractors. This capability supports workforce understanding of WHS obligations, reinforces safe work practices and contributes to the development of a capable and informed workforce. I hold a current Queensland C Class driver’s licence and am able to travel across Council locations, including the South Johnstone area as required to support WHS and wellbeing initiatives and operational needs. Experience Supporting Regulatory Compliance and Contractor Safety: I have substantial experience supporting regulatory compliance in heavily regulated operational environments, with a strong focus on contractor safety oversight. In my role as Plant Technician at Shell QGC’s Condamine Power Station, I regularly engage with contractors undertaking maintenance, inspection and specialist works within the operational compound. This has involved reviewing contractor documentation, including Safe Work Method Statements and task-specific risk assessments, verifying Permit to Work and isolation requirements, and confirming that proposed controls align with site standards and legislative obligations prior to work commencing. During work execution, I monitor compliance with approved controls and site safety requirements, escalating issues where necessary in accordance with established procedures. I approach contractor engagement in a professional, constructive and collaborative manner, ensuring expectations are clearly communicated, safety standards are consistently applied, and work is completed safely and in compliance with regulatory and organisational requirements. Experience in WHS Roles and Use of WHS Systems: I bring extensive experience performing WHS-related functions over many years as an integral part of my operational, environmental and supervisory roles within large, highly regulated organisations. In my role as Plant Technician at Shell QGC’s Condamine Power Station, WHS responsibilities have been embedded in my day-to-day duties for a prolonged period, including the preparation, review and maintenance of risk assessments, Permit to Work documentation, isolation records, incident reports and contractor compliance evidence. I have consistently supported WHS, risk and information management systems by ensuring documentation integrity, accurate record keeping and timely reporting, contributing to internal compliance activities and audit readiness. This sustained involvement has given me a strong, practical understanding of how WHS systems operate in complex organisations, and the importance of continuous improvement, accountability and disciplined governance in maintaining effective and defensible safety systems. Find attached my résumé for your consideration. I am strongly motivated by the opportunity to contribute to Cassowary Coast Regional Council and to support the continued development of a mature, proactive safety and wellbeing culture that protects workers, contractors and the community. I welcome the opportunity to further discuss how my experience, professional judgement and commitment to continuous improvement aligns with the requirements of this role. Yours sincerely,
Rachael Evans

SELECTION CRITERIA Customer Resolutions and Case Management Lead | Melton City Council
Relevant tertiary qualifications and significant experience in complaint and investigation services, customer experience or similar industries as it relates to the key position objectives. I possess a Master of Commerce, Postgraduate Degree in Costs and Work Accounting and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. These qualifications have provided me with a strong foundation in financial analysis, compliance and operational management, which are critical in complaint handling and investigative services. In addition to my academic background, I have accumulated significant experience in customer resolution, complaint handling, and investigation services across multiple roles. While working as a Senior Plan Specialist, I regularly handled complaints from participants and providers, requiring strong analytical skills to determine the validity of grievances. In one instance, a participant's funding had been exhausted earlier than expected, causing disruptions to their essential care services. Through a detailed review of their financial records, I identified misallocated payments and was able to rectify the issue, ensuring the participant’s services continued without further interruption. I have consistently applied investigative and analytical skills to resolve customer complaints, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high service standards. My ability to interpret complex financial and policy-related issues, coupled with a commitment to fairness and accuracy, has allowed me to provide meaningful resolutions in a variety of challenging situations. At Middle Park Toy Library, I handled customer disputes regarding membership fees, lost items, and borrowing policies. By implementing clearer communication strategies and a structured appeals process, I improved dispute resolution times, resulting in increased customer satisfaction and a reduction in recurring complaints. In my role as Team Leader – Plan Management at Plan Partners, I was responsible for overseeing escalated complaints, ensuring fair and consistent resolutions while maintaining compliance with NDIS policies. One example involved a participant who disputed a funding decision due to a lack of clarity in their plan allocations. After conducting a detailed review of their case, I identified discrepancies in the way the funding had been applied. I engaged with the relevant stakeholders, including internal finance teams and the NDIS, to clarify the issue and successfully advocate for a reassessment. As a result, the participant received the correct funding allocation, restoring their access to essential services while ensuring compliance with policy requirements. Another case required a thorough investigation into allegations of financial mismanagement by a service provider. A participant raised concerns that invoices were being submitted for services they had not received. I conducted a comprehensive review of transaction records and liaised with the service provider to obtain supporting documentation. By meticulously analysing the evidence, I uncovered inconsistencies that confirmed the participant’s concerns. I escalated the findings to senior management and the compliance team, ensuring corrective action was taken, including a full reimbursement to the participant and improved oversight measures to prevent similar issues. Demonstrated empathetic communication, interpersonal, consultation and negotiation skills; appropriate to confidentially liaise and consult with a wide range of managers, employees and external stakeholders and members of the public. Effective communication is central to fostering strong relationships, resolving disputes, and ensuring positive outcomes in high-pressure environments. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated the ability to engage empathetically with a diverse range of stakeholders, including managers, employees, external service providers and members of the public. My approach is centred on active listening, clear and transparent communication and a solutions-focused mindset that prioritises collaboration and fairness. I have successfully mediated complex disputes, de-escalated challenging conversations, and facilitated productive negotiations that align with organisational policies while ensuring the best possible outcomes for all parties involved. By maintaining professionalism and diplomacy, I have built trust and credibility with stakeholders, contributing to a culture of respect, cooperation and continuous improvement. In my role as Team Leader at Plan Partners, I regularly engaged with NDIS participants, service providers, and stakeholders to resolve complex issues with empathy and professionalism. One particular case involved a participant who was highly distressed due to an NDIS funding error, which resulted in disruptions to essential support services. I actively listened, acknowledged their frustration, and reassured them that I would personally oversee a resolution. I liaised with the finance team and NDIS representatives, explaining the impact on the participant’s wellbeing. By negotiating an interim solution, I was able to ensure that their services were reinstated within 24 hours. The participant expressed their gratitude for the timely and compassionate support, and my intervention strengthened trust with both the participant and the service provider while ensuring compliance with NDIS policies and financial regulations. In another instance, a service provider disputed a claim rejection, believing the participant had been incorrectly advised on their funding allocation. I facilitated a calm and constructive discussion, explaining NDIS policies while ensuring the provider felt heard and supported. I provided a detailed breakdown of allowable expenses and assisted the provider in submitting a revised claim that complied with funding guidelines. By maintaining transparency and taking a consultative approach, I was able to resolve the dispute efficiently, strengthening trust between the provider and our organisation and leading to ongoing positive collaboration.
Experience in using resilience in situations beyond the incumbent’s control, including managing challenging behaviours and keeling self and others calm when under pressure. Remaining resilient in challenging situations is essential for maintaining professionalism, ensuring effective decision-making, and supporting both colleagues and clients. Throughout my career, I have encountered high-pressure scenarios where circumstances were beyond my control, requiring me to remain calm, adaptable, and solution-focused. Whether managing aggressive behaviour, addressing system failures, or handling emotionally charged disputes, I have consistently demonstrated the ability to de-escalate tensions, reassure stakeholders, and implement practical solutions. By maintaining composure and fostering a positive and collaborative environment, I have been able to navigate difficult situations effectively while keeping those around me calm and focused. In one instance, I was managing a complaint from a participant who had been incorrectly informed about their funding eligibility. When they realised that their support services were at risk, they became highly distressed and began raising their voice, demanding immediate action. Instead of reacting defensively, I acknowledged their frustration and reassured them that I was committed to finding a resolution. While I could not change NDIS policy, I explored alternative funding sources, engaged with internal teams to expedite a review of their case, and provided the participant with practical next steps. By remaining calm and supportive, I was able to rebuild their trust, provide clarity on their options, and ultimately secure an alternative funding solution that ensured continuity of care without breaching policy guidelines. While working as a Senior Plan Specialist, I encountered a case where a participant’s family member became verbally aggressive, demanding immediate resolution for a funding shortfall. Their frustration stemmed from feeling unheard by the system, and their anger was directed at our team. Rather than reacting defensively, I remained calm, maintained open body language, and spoke in a composed tone to de-escalate the tension. I reassured them that while I could not alter NDIS funding rules, I would work with them to explore alternative solutions. After gathering relevant details, I identified additional support options, including community grants and advocacy services. As a result, the situation de-escalated, and the family member later apologised, thanking me for my patience and professionalism. Another situation involved a major system outage that prevented the processing of urgent NDIS payments, leading to a surge of frustrated clients and service providers. Recognising the potential impact on participants relying on essential services, I took the lead in communicating updates with transparency while keeping my team calm and focused. I liaised with IT teams to understand the issue, provided regular phone and email updates to stakeholders, and developed a contingency plan to manually prioritise urgent cases. By remaining solution-focused and reassuring all parties, we minimised disruptions, ensuring critical services continued without significant financial hardship for participants. Significant experience in responding to high volumes of work and complex enquiries and dealing with legislation and policy, including the ability to coordinate resources to ensure high quality business outcomes are delivered fairly and equitably. Managing high workloads while ensuring compliance with legislation and policy requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate resources effectively. Throughout my career, I have worked in fast-paced environments where I have been responsible for handling complex enquiries, interpreting policies, and delivering fair and equitable business outcomes. I have successfully implemented process improvements to manage high volumes of work while maintaining accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements. My ability to assess priorities, streamline workflows, and collaborate with stakeholders has consistently resulted in improved service delivery and operational efficiency. One example of my ability to manage high workloads and policy-driven enquiries occurred when I was overseeing a largescale audit of participant funding allocations. During a routine review, I identified discrepancies in how plan budgets were being allocated, which had the potential to impact service delivery for multiple participants. To address this, I conducted an in-depth analysis of the NDIS guidelines, liaised with internal teams to verify financial records, and engaged directly with affected participants to provide clear explanations and reassurance. I also collaborated with senior management to implement corrective actions that ensured compliance and prevented similar errors in the future. As a result, we successfully rectified all affected plans without causing service disruptions, strengthened financial oversight processes, and improved overall accuracy in funding allocations. As a Team Leader at Plan Partners, I managed a high caseload of 1,000+ active participant plans, requiring constant prioritisation of tasks while ensuring compliance with NDIS policies. Handling a high volume of enquiries daily, I recognised inefficiencies in existing workflows and introduced an automated tracking system to streamline case processing. I also implemented a risk-based assessment approach to prioritise urgent cases while ensuring fairness in all decisions. These improvements reduced turnaround times by 30 per cent while maintaining a 99 per cent accuracy rate in resolutions. In another instance, I handled a complex case where a participant’s funding request was initially declined due to ambiguity in NDIS guidelines regarding discretionary expenses. The family sought a review, citing financial hardship, and I took the initiative to conduct a thorough policy review. I collaborated with compliance teams to interpret the legislation and prepared a detailed case analysis, demonstrating how the participant’s circumstances met the reasonable and necessary criteria for an exemption. As a result of my advocacy, the funding exemption was approved, ensuring that the participant received essential support while maintaining compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Graduate Town Planner | Position No: POS1250 | City of Launceston Tertiary Qualification in Town Planning or Similar
I am deeply committed to building a long-term career in town planning and urban development, underpinned by strong academic qualifications and an enduring passion for creating sustainable, liveable and equitable communities. I hold a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning and a Bachelor of Architecture, both of which have given me an extensive understanding of the intersection between the built environment, urban systems, and community wellbeing. My academic record is distinguished by consistent excellence, including receipt of the Academic Excellence Award in 2016–2017, which attests to my commitment, diligence, and intellectual capacity. Within my postgraduate studies, I pursued advanced coursework across a wide spectrum of planning disciplines including statutory frameworks, strategic planning, environmental policy, and community-focused design. Units such as Advanced Urban Planning Law, Environmental Pollution, Project Management, and Environmental Economics enabled me to appreciate both the theoretical underpinnings and the practical applications of planning processes. I also developed expertise in technical tools such as Geographic Information Systems, which are increasingly vital in contemporary evidencebased planning. Collectively, these qualifications provide a robust foundation for professional practice and demonstrate my readiness to contribute effectively to planning roles requiring both statutory and strategic expertise. Sound Knowledge of Statutory Planning Processes My knowledge of statutory and strategic planning processes has been strengthened through applied learning in three major studio projects during my Masters: Advanced Development Processes Studio, Advanced Urban Analysis and Planning Studio, and Advanced Strategic Planning Studio. These projects were intentionally designed to replicate real-world planning environments, requiring participants to engage with statutory obligations, assess environmental and social impacts, and propose innovative yet compliant planning outcomes. In the Advanced Development Processes Studio, my team and I worked on the Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, which provided my first professional exposure to statutory requirements. The project involved producing a Development Assessment Report in accordance with planning legislation, supported by scoping studies, stakeholder engagement, and a pre-lodgement consultation process. I was directly involved in drafting submissions, integrating statutory feedback, and preparing professional-quality presentations. This project demonstrated how theoretical planning law translates into practical outcomes and reinforced the importance of compliance within development assessment frameworks. In subsequent projects, including the Advanced Urban Analysis and Planning Studio, I assumed the role of Team Leader. This required me to design work structures, delegate tasks based on individual strengths, set objectives, and ensure cohesion across the team. I personally led complex components such as transport and accessibility planning, active mobility strategies, traffic and parking management, environmental feasibility analysis, and urban resilience frameworks. These projects demanded critical engagement with statutory provisions, while also pushing teams to adopt creative, strategic responses to challenges such as climate change adaptation. Both projects ranked among the top two out of eight groups, reflecting the quality of my leadership, technical contributions, and capacity to apply statutory frameworks to complex urban environments. Highly Developed Written and Verbal Communication Skills Throughout my academic and professional experiences, I have refined highly developed communication skills that enable me to engage confidently with diverse stakeholders, articulate complex concepts with clarity, and produce polished, persuasive written material. My professional background has further reinforced these skills. As an Architect overseas, I liaised with clients, engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities, often required to negotiate project outcomes, resolve disputes, and translate technical drawings into client-friendly explanations. In Australia, my customer service roles demanded daily communication with clients both in person and in writing. This experience honed my capacity to listen empathetically, communicate persuasively, and resolve concerns while maintaining professionalism. I have consistently demonstrated adaptability in communication, whether preparing formal written reports, delivering professional presentations, composing emails and official correspondence, or providing high-level customer service. My ability to tailor messages to audiences ranging from senior managers to community members has allowed me to foster trust, build consensus, and achieve desired outcomes across diverse professional settings.
Advanced Computer Proficiency My computer and technical skills are highly developed and integral to my academic and professional practice. I am proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, which I use extensively for research reports, planning submissions, data analysis and presentations. In addition, I possess advanced capability in drafting and design programs including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Lumion, which have enabled me to prepare detailed architectural drawings, 3D models, and visual simulations. I also have strong experience with ArcGIS and Google Earth, applying geospatial analysis and mapping techniques to support planning projects and feasibility studies. I frequently incorporated graphical representations and data visualisations into my assignments, elevating the clarity and impact of my work. In recognition of the quality of these outputs, my reports and presentations were regularly acknowledged for their professionalism and visual design. I am frequently sought after by colleagues and peers for support with technical tasks, presentations and visual material, which has allowed me to extend my own expertise while assisting others to achieve high-quality outcomes. This demonstrates not only technical proficiency but also a collaborative mindset and a commitment to knowledge sharing. Excellent Time Management Skills I possess highly refined organisational and time management capabilities, which have been consistently demonstrated across academic, professional, and personal contexts. I have developed a disciplined yet flexible approach to managing competing deadlines, ensuring accuracy and productivity even under significant pressure. Balancing full-time postgraduate studies with part-time employment required exceptional discipline. During peak assessment periods, I was often managing four to five concurrent deadlines. I addressed this by implementing structured project plans, creating detailed task lists, and prioritising high-value activities. I also utilised digital tools such as Google Drive for structured file organisation and Microsoft Outlook for scheduling reminders and managing workflows. This structured methodology was instrumental in my ability to maintain a GPA of 6.0 and achieve a cumulative grade of 6.33 across my degree. These results reflect not only academic excellence but also my ability to manage complex workloads and deliver consistently high-quality outputs. I continue to apply these same methods in professional contexts, ensuring that my work is always timely, accurate and strategically prioritised. Conflict Resolution Skills Conflict resolution has been a recurring feature of my professional journey, and I have developed a calm, measured and solutions-focused approach to addressing challenges. I pride myself on my ability to actively listen, remain composed under pressure, and craft outcomes that address both client concerns and organisational requirements. For example, while working at 7-Eleven, I managed a particularly dissatisfied customer who had lodged a complaint about food quality. By engaging with empathy, consulting with management, and offering practical remedies such as product replacement and complimentary items, I de-escalated the situation entirely. Not only did the client retract their threat to escalate the matter, but they also continued as a loyal customer. This experience reinforced the value of diplomacy, tact, and proactive resolution in maintaining positive stakeholder relationships. Such skills are directly transferable to planning, where competing interests often require careful negotiation. My ability to engage constructively with differing perspectives, identify mutually beneficial outcomes, and maintain trust in the process positions me well for roles requiring high levels of stakeholder engagement and consensus-building. Ability to Work Effectively in a Team Environment I thrive in collaborative environments and have consistently demonstrated an ability to foster productive teamwork, build trust, and contribute to shared objectives. I view collaboration as essential not only for achieving strong project outcomes but also for cultivating innovative ideas and enhancing workplace culture. In my Masters studio projects, I led diverse groups of students, each bringing different skills and perspectives. By aligning tasks to individual strengths, facilitating regular meetings, and ensuring transparent communication, I created cohesive teams that produced high-calibre outputs. These experiences confirmed the importance of fostering inclusivity and ownership within teams, ensuring all members feel valued and empowered. Similarly, my professional roles as both an Architect and customer service professional have required me to work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors and external stakeholders. Whether coordinating design inputs with engineers or engaging in group problem-solving in fast-paced retail environments, I have always prioritised open dialogue, mutual respect and joint accountability. My team-oriented approach has not only delivered consistently strong outcomes but also established enduring professional and personal networks.
