Training and Employment Funds Help You Move Up the Nursing Career Ladder

If you’re interested in advancing along the nursing career pathway, your Training and Employment Funds (TEF) are here to help.

Improve your skills

TEF provides thousands of hours of online classes and webinars to advance your knowledge, fulfill continuing education requirements, prepare for certification exams and enhance patient-care skills. If you need help with a class, our Learning Centers offer educational support, tutoring services, workshops and access to a variety of academic resources.

Receive career counseling and job-search assistance

You can meet with counselors one on one or attend counseling workshops to plot your career path and identify ways to reach your goals, both in direct patient care and the healthcare industry in general. Our Employment Center offers job placement services, including resume reviews, applicant phone screening and vacancy referrals by matching applicant qualifications to vacancy requirements.

Become certified as a CNA or LPN

You can receive financial and other assistance, including academic support and career counseling, to get certified as a Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Prospective students in the LPN Program must attend the LPN Tuition Assistance Workshop, which gives an overview of the LPN job market, approved schools that offer LPN programs, and tuition assistance procedures and requirements.

Earn a nursing degree

Financial assistance is available if you are enrolled in a nursing program. The Training Funds also provide you with case management, academic advisement and support if you are enrolled in the following types of nursing programs:

RN: Registered Nurse Degree Programs

AAS: Associate of Applied Science in Nursing

BSN: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, including RN to BSN

MSN: Master of Science in Nursing, including Nurse Practitioner and other advanced nursing degrees
