THIS MODULE SYNOPSIS EMPHASIS IS DIRECTED INTO DESIGN PROCESS, PROGRAMMING, ANALYTICAL CRITICAL THINKING WITH THE CONSIDERATIONS OF THE ENVIRONMENT INFLUENCES, BEHAVIOURAL STUDIES AND END USER’S NEEDS AND DESIGN RESOLUTION. DISTINCTIVELY THE PROGRESSION WOULD BE ENHANCED WITH HAVING EFFECTIVE GRAPHICAL COMMUNICATION AND TECHNICAL SKILL. MORE COMMERCIAL PROJECT TASKS ARE INTRODUCED TO RELATE TO THE DIRECTION OF THE INDUSTRY THAT MANIPULATES VARIOUS SPECIALISED DETAILS OF MATERIALITY AND SPECIFICATIONS.

THE MODULE INVESTIGATES THE ATTRACTION OF WORKSPACE VALUE TO THEIR SPECIFIC MARKETS THROUGH INTERIOR DESIGN, WHICH ACCURATELY REFLECTS BRAND VALUES AND CORPORATE IDENTITY.

AFTER SOME TIME WORKING FROM HOME DUE TCOVID-19 PANDEMIC, THE TRADITIONAL WORKSPACE DESIGN MIGHT NO LONGER SEEM PREFERABLE TO THE WORKING CLASS. IN THIS PROJECT, STUDENTS IN A GROUP OF 3 WERE ASKED TO LOOK INTO THE ASPECTS OF THE SELECTED SUITAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDG)

SEMESTER 4, A STEEP LEARNING CURVE AND TURNING POINT FOR ME. INDEED, IT'S BEEN A ROLLERCOASTER JOURNEY WITH GREATER AND HIGHER EXPECTATIONS FROM US. IN THIS SEMESTER, WE ARE REQUIRED TO PRODUCE HIGHER LEVEL QUALITY WORK AND ZOOM INTO MORE DETAILS. THIS COULD ONLY BE DONE BY DOING SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF IN DEPTH RESEARCH ON EVERY TOPIC RELATED TO OUR PROJECTS. HOWEVER, THIS IS UNDENIABLY THE MOST EYE OPENING SEMESTER FOR ME SO FAR. ESPECIALLY WHEN WE WERE INTROUDUCED TO WIDE RANGE OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDG). BEFORE THAT INFORMATIVE LECTURE, I DIDN'T REALISE THE IMPORTANCE OF IMPLEMENTING SDG EVERYWHERE AROUND THE WORLD. AS A FUTURE DESIGNER, I HOPE THAT WE COULD CONTINUE, FURTHER IMPROVE AND EVEN COME UP WITH NEWER BETTER IDEAS ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ALL SDG. WE COULD ALL PLAY OUR ROLES IN MAKING THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE AND PERSONALLY, I THINK IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO DESIGN A BUILDING WHILE WORKING ALONG SIDE WITH INCORPORATING ELEMENTS OF SDG. ANOTHER TAKE AWAY THROUGHOUT THIS SEMESTER WOULD BE THAT I HAVE BETTER UNDERSTANDING IN MY STRENGTH AND CAPABILITY IN PRODUCING GREAT WORK WHICH ALLOWS ME TO MAKE THE RIGHT ADJUSTMENTS TO FURTHER IMPROVE ON MY SKILLS. I RUSHED TO FINISH THE FINAL PROJECT AS I'VE BEEN LACKING IDEAS AND INSPIRATIONS NOT UNTIL WEEK 9 WHEN I FINALLY UNDERSTAND MY DESIGN DIRECTION BETTER. HENCE I'M PLEASED WITH THE FINAL OUTCOME ALTHOUGH THERE'S MUCH MORE ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENTS.
