Rightly considered among the finest golf courses in Surrey as host of the 2018 PGA Assistants’ Championship and the only national PGA venue in the area and with greens built to USGA specifications, you won’t be disappointed by the quality of this course. Thanks to its fast-draining nature, it continues to play exceptionally well during the winter months with temporary greens never being required - even in the depths of winter.

Even more important during the colder months, warming up is an equally enjoyable experience at Farleigh, with a 300 yard driving range located in a valley at the centre of the estate and open 7 days a week, you can perfect your swing at any time. For your short game, there is also a USGA standard putting green along with the perfect place to practice getting out of the sand with the chipping green and practice bunker.

This year marks the 10 year anniversary of the purchase of Farleigh Golf Club by The Foxhills Collection and there is plenty to celebrate. 10 years of dramatic improvements, significant investment and increasing success since it was purchased are being celebrated with 10 exclusive offers for its members, as well as giving away golf days worth £10k for local good causes.

Previously known as Farleigh Court, the club was purchased by the Hayton family 10 years ago to form The Foxhills Collection,

which also comprises the prestigious Foxhills Club & Resort located in Ottershaw.

Since then, Farleigh has grown from strength to strength, with 2020 underpinning its success with a very fitting, record year for membership sales.

As a family-owned club, Farleigh has seen the personal attention and crucial investment that it needed from a new owner, who is now the longest of four, with more than £5 million spent on refurbishing the clubhouse and golf courses.

The clubhouse refurbishment and remodelling included the installation of a number of contemporary meeting rooms and function spaces, which has seen it become a sought-after venue for corporate events and weddings, as well as the opening of the highly-regarded Nineteen bar and restaurant, renowned locally for its delicious Sunday carvery.

On the course, a number of substantial enhancements have also been made over the years to put the club on the map as one of the premier golf clubs in Surrey and a regular host of national PGA tournaments.

The course’s original architects, John Jacobs Associates, were brought back to upgrade the 350-acre layout, which has also benefitted from a couple of new fleets of greenkeeping equipment costing more than £1 million alone, as well as a new irrigation and drainage system that makes it one of the best winter courses in the area.

The club is proud of its ‘Farleigh Guarantee’ of no temporary greens or tees, meaning golfers can enjoy excellent course conditions at any time of the year in all weather conditions.

All of this has seen it build an enviable reputation among golfers, with more than 600 members now on the books and more category one golfers than ever, thanks to the course conditions and competitive field.

Jason Atherton’s Michelin starred City Social is once again ready to invite guests to indulge in spectacular cuisine paired with equally stunning views. Based in the heart of the City between Liverpool Street and Bank, on the 24th floor of iconic Tower 42, the one-Michelin starred City Social by Jason Atherton and bar Social 24 offers a delectable menu of food and drinks, celebrating the best of freshly grown British produce.

The only Michelin starred restaurant in the City offering panoramic views across the capital, this is the ultimate safe haven to dine and drink in the heart of London. To provide every reassurance for the comfort and wellbeing of guests, social distancing guidelines have been implemented, as well as hygiene stations throughout the restaurant and strict staff training.

The restaurant offers up a new contemporary British menu, curated by Jason Atherton with new head chef Dan Birk at the helm. Guests can expect to enjoy starters such as roasted Orkney scallops, pearl barley and caramelised cauliflower; Dingley dell pork terrine, boudin noir, apple and celeriac; and cured Arlington white egg, wild mushrooms, black truffle and onion soubise. Main course options include Aynhoe estate venison, cep, turnips, juniper and watercress; and Isla of Gigha Halibut, white beans, preserved lemon and razor clam velouté. The grill menu will continue to feature its premium steak options such as native breed fillet and Côte de Boeuf, each served with perfectly paired sides.

No meal is complete without a drink and there’s never been a bigger need than now. Thankfully, Social 24 is on hand featuring an extensive spirits and cocktail menu, with highlights including the Freaking Grape - Belvedere vodka, V.
