Scarborough Field Naturalists’ Society Founded back in 1889, this group of amateur naturalists comprises members at all levels of knowledge, from interested beginners to those with specialist knowledge in their fields. There is an opportunity to talk to the speaker and to socialise with members over refreshments at the conclusion of each meeting. Members receive newsletters giving details of Friends’ activities. These include outings to regional art galleries, museums, historic buildings and gardens, and occasional trips abroad.
