Wow where do you start a er a weekend like that. On 26th of July 2014 the A Grade side beat Robe in Robe and nobody an cipated it would take 8 LONG years before the senior boys would sing the club song. However fast forward to the 2022 season and on the 19th of June 2022 Coach LT and his boys managed to do what we all knew was possible and defeat Tant. The scenes were phenomenal and it felt more like a grand final to many loyal supporters as the siren sounded and the crowd ran onto the ground. Car horns beeped and people cried. Congratula ons boys, you certainly made a lot of people happy and reminded us why many of us have stuck around. Let's hope it is one of many wins this season! The football club would like to thank all of the supporters for their loyal commitment over the 8 years, and also to everyone who wrote messages of support following the win, it is nice to see so many people happy for us! Congratula ons to the Junior Colts and B Grade who also had great wins on Saturday. This week a er the Hatherleigh game the club is hos ng their Gold Cup! So s ck around for tea, put on a dress and suit for fashions on the field and have a great night. Our sponsors this week are major sponsor LV Dohnt and Brody's Bricks. We are very lucky to have our very own neighbours LV Dohnt as a major sponsor this year. LV Dohnt and Company has varied business areas and is a specialist in infield chipping and this year is celebra ng working within the forestry industry for 80 years. Their business is family owned and currently has family members working within our administra on and opera ons area. Brody's Bricks is a local self-employed bricklaying, block laying & stonemasonry contractor with over 10 years' experience situated in Mount Gambier, South Australia. Brody played for a few seasons and also helped rebuild the clubrooms. We thank him for his con nued support in 2022. Under 11: Another good ou ng by our under 11s. Really star ng to see some of the things we work on at training come out in games. Kids were playing full of confidence and used the ball well Junior Colts: Firstly I must say a huge congratula ons to Luke, Taz and the whole A Grade squad for breaking the 8 year drought ge ng the win against

Tant. The hard work that has gone on over the last few years on and off the field to put together a compe ve senior squad, last week’s result was reward for that effort. Our Junior Colts side enjoyed a really good win which was pleasing to watch. The side played some really good team footy, sharing the ball to work into a ack. Thanks to Heath and South Gambier who brought down a few players for both sides. Best players for us were Calais, who should also be congratulated on playing in the recent interleague game. Mason, Tayte, Benne , Ella and Kobi. Next game we welcome Hatherleigh which will be a big challenge for our side. Senior Colts: Unfortunately another week and yet again another big loss on what turned out to be a massive day for the club. Well done to Luke and the A Grade on finally breaking the drought, thoroughly well deserved. Quite simply if we don't bother to even turn up to training we will con nue to be beaten easily on Saturday's. Well done to the players who were selected for interleague and I hope you enjoyed the experience. Best players were Archer, Benne , Ty, Riley, Peter and Hayden. B Grade: Nangwarry reserves had a good win against a strong Tantanoola side. Nangwarry came out of the blocks well and scored 3 quick goals before Tant were able to get one back and Nangwarry led the first change 4-4 to 1-0. The second quarter was the one that really set the win up with Nangwarry kicking 2-4 to Tant’s 0-1 and leading at half me 6-8 to 1-1. The second half was an even contest with Nangwarry only just our scoring Tant 54 to 4-0 with both teams playing some par cularly good football. The final score was Nangwarry 11-12 (78) and Tantanoola 5-1 (31), Nangwarry goal scorers were C Hicks 3, B Kelly 3, J Clayfield 2, V Virtanen 1, J Hagge 1 and J Moore 1. Best players were M Chaplin, S Brooksby, A Heron, J Clayfield, B Kelly, and B Neshoda. A Grade: Well finally a er 8 long years we broke the drought! A er coming close a few mes this year we learnt from those experiences and kept ourselves in front. We had a great first quarter and then maintained that lead the whole day. It’s good reward for the hard work we've put in and it's a good reward for the loyal people who have been at the club the last 8 years! We move on to Hatherleigh at home this week where we will look to improve the scoreline from the first me we played them.
