In 1999, it was taken over by UEM to support its logistics needs for the various infrastructure projects that had been awarded to it. With the backing of its parent company, GAPIMA formed a partnership with UNITED SEINO, a Japanese logistics company to break into the international business of freight forwarding. In 2010, BAINE CONSULTING acquired GAPIMA and today it remains a family-owned business under BAINE.
