FACILITIES Home to one of the finest indoor facilities in the region, the West Virginia University track and field team takes shelter in the winter months in the WVU Shell Building. Conveniently located beside the WVU Coliseum, the Shell Building houses the indoor track and facility, which features a top-notch track as well as adequate room for field events. Athletic training and strength and conditioning facilities are also located in the Shell Building, giving the Mountaineers the perfect place for training and competition purposes. Each season the Mountaineers hold events such as the Marty Pushkin Track Classic, the WVU Invitational and the Gold-Blue Open, all featuring teams from across the state and the east coast. Just outside the doors of the WVU Shell Building is the outdoor track facility. Home to the Mountaineers when weather permits, West Virginia is lucky enough to have top-notch facilities located side-by-side.
