Never Be Satisfied

Liner Notes

We’ve all been there at one point or another. Stagnant. Stuck in a rut.

Maybe we weren’t happy with our job. Maybe we felt undervalued. Maybe we thought there was no upward mobility with our employer. Worse yet, maybe we didn’t think we deserved better. Or, maybe we were all a bunch of whiny bitches who couldn’t see the forest for the trees?

Life is about options. Every day we are presented with choices. Get up early or sleep in. Protein shake or a Pop Tart. Give our best effort or phone it in. For some of us, that means continuing to live in the aforementioned rut or having the guts to try something new.

Everything worth having is worth working for, so why do some of us choose the easy road of complacency, rather than picking the road less traveled, the one that leads to happiness, self-reliance, and getting paid?

I love the wraps market because it’s ripe with opportunity. Whether you’re working for a kick-ass shop or a Lone Ranger installing wherever the wind blows, you have choices. You can choose to get up early, stay late, work on your skills, learn from a mentor, take training classes, sign up for online learning, attend a trade show, compete in a contest, read a magazine, spend time at another shop, invite others to collaborate, or maybe just take the baby step of admitting you don’t have all the answers.

There are so many options for personal growth. So what’s it going to be?

With that, I welcome you to the February issue. I hope you pick up a few pointers, and for those of you stuck in a rut, I challenge you to find the courage to choose a new path.

Enjoy! -Ruggs
