Ocoee High to sell parking hangers

Officials to thank therapy team
Officials at Health Central Park, in Winter Garden, will honor their recreation therapy team the week of July 21. Team members work directly with Health Central Park residents each day to improve their quality of life and provide opportunities for involvement, officials said. The team provides a variety of intellectual, physical and social programs, as well as sensory stimulation. Volunteer opportunities in West Orange county
The Garden Theatre is holding a one-hour orientation on Tuesday, Aug. 12, from 7-9 p.m. for those interested in volunteering as ticket-takers, ushers, greeters and concessions. Those in attendance will also take a tour of the theatre. High school community service hours can be earned by volunteering. Those 16 and older can attend. The St. Luke’s United Methodist Church summer camp recently visited Winter Garden City Hall. The sixth-eighth graders were given a tour, met with city staff and participated in a discussion with City Commissioner Robert Olszewski about being engaged citizens. The congregation at St. Luke’s has adopted the East Winter Garden community for their church’s community transformation service project.
