PRODUCT Showcase AESA Cortaillod: the Scorpius DT is a better way to characterize coaxial cable parameters AESA Cortaillod, a leading Swiss manufacturer of automatic test equipment (ATE) specialized in testing solutions to fully characterize electrical parameters of cables and wires, will showcase the abilities of the Scorpius DT for high frequency parameters of coaxial cables. The equipment is a complete and integrated solution to characterize both 50Ω and 75Ω coaxial cables with embedded VNA (Vector Network Analyzer). The dedicated N-type (N50 and N75/F75) interfaces with the company’s new released universal connectors let the operator quickly connect the different products while ensuring perfect contact on both the core and the shield of a
coaxial cable. Scorpius DT allows measuring from 100 KHz to 18 GHz (frequency extension on request) and performs all electrical tests on cables responding to ANSI/ TIA-568.4-D for broadband coaxial cabling and component standard, IEC 61196-x and EN 50117-x. Scorpius is available in a rackmountable version for customization of its components. It also can be an option for existing AESA automatic testing equipment for LAN cables.
