And it certainly doesn’t fit the traditional “oldschool steakhouse” model either. Michael Galyen, his wife Krista, and their family have created the perfect modern hybrid of the two. Since opening the restaurant in March 2018, Galyen brought the best of both worlds to the south end of Napa, a historically underserved fine dining desert. Located in the South Napa Century Center, this polished steakhouse with an open kitchen and intimate dining room is surrounded by bespoke dark wood and leather finishes and effortlessly blurs the lines of a fine dining restaurant and an upscaled sports-themed eatery. Complete with an authentic gymnasium basketball court for the flooring, the lounge area boasts a 28-seat bar with a giant scoreboard and eight, 55-inch TVs overhead for maximum adrenaline-pulsing viewing of your favorite sports team, seven days a week. Having managed Michelin-starred establishments globally for Morimoto, and Napa institutions such as Don Giovanni and Bottega, Michael leveraged his expertise in haute cuisine to give rise to the much-needed affordability and accessibility a neighborhood locale could provide. His goal is to serve the true Napa locals by offering value alongside thoughtful service and the highest quality ingredients whilst still drawing in out-oftowners looking for exceptional food, drink, and ambiance.
