ongratulations to Maureen Kelly & Phil Chesky and to Kristina Sampson & John Guerin, who were married days apart in June, the latest in a tradition of Academy romance. Kristina Sampson ’98 and John Guerin ’96 were married on June 25, 2010, at Saint Mary’s Church in Simsbury, Connecticut. John’s uncle, Father Peter Guerin, O.S.B. officiated. There were several WMA alumni in the wedding party. Andrea Giokas Jacobs ’00 was the Matron of Honor. Renee Stolar Niedziela ’98, and Natalie Holuk Metzger’96 were bridesmaids. Bill Guerin ’89 was the best man. Jeff Grossi ’96 and John Sampson Jr. ’00 were
groomsmen. Kristina works for the Springfield Museums as Museum Programmer, and John is the Director of Energy Development for EOSVentures of Hancock, Massachusetts. EOS Ventures develops and owns commercial scale wind and solar projects throughout the northeast. They recently purchased a home in the Sixteen Acres neighborhood of Springfield, Massachusetts.
Phil Chesky and Maureen Kelly, both members of the Class of 2002, celebrated their marriage on June 28 at St. Cecilia’s in Wilbraham, followed by a reception outside on the grounds of Wilbraham & Monson Academy. Jessica MacMonegleEkness ’03 served as Maid of Honor and vocalist, Chris Stolar ’02 served as Best Man, and Rosalyn Chesky ’08 and Mike Stacy ’02 were members of the wedding party. Mo and Phil honeymooned in Quebec City and are now living at the Academy, where Mo is the Associate Director of College Counseling. Lt. Joshua Fogarty ’98 and Courtney Kanaga Fogarty ’98 were reunited in August 2010, when Josh returned from a 7-month deployment to Afghanistan. Courtney will graduate from Regent University School of Law next spring in Virginia Beach. Josh will be serving as an F-18 Super Hornet flight instructor for the next three years. From left, their three children are Mark, Evan, and Anastasia.

William Metzger ’97 and Natalie Holuk Metzger ’96, who were married in Alumni Memorial Chapel, have a son, Liam Brady. Natalie is a teacher at Quabbin Regional High School and Springfield Technical Community College. She is also in the Doctorate of Educational Psychology program at American International College. William is a history teacher at Minnechaug Regional High School and is doing graduate work at Westfield State University.
