South Texas Entertainment a Big Draw
R ock, country, rhythm and blues, bluegrass, pop, theater, symphony, comedy, magic, festivals…it’s all here in the Rio Grande Valley!
Aside from the weather, entertainment tops the list of what draws winter visitors to South Texas. There’s something happening all the time, from a concert, dance, comedy or magic show to large theater productions and performances.

Welcome Home RGV hears from visitors over and over again, “If you’re bored here, it’s your own fault!” There are approximately 300 RV parks and resorts across the Valley hosting shows and dances, which are often open to the public and within close driving proximity, making it easy to enjoy live entertainment each day of the week!
Each Winter Texan season, the variety of options expands as word spreads among entertainers that the area is a hotbed of opportunity.
This past season’s Entertainer Showcase was proof, hosting approximately 60 acts from across the country, many of them new to the area. Newcomers heard from other entertainers about opportunities to perform in South Texas.
How do you find out what’s going on?
