~ News ~ High School Names Top Citizens KENNEBUNK Susan Cressey, principal of Kennebunk High School, has named Hallie Schwartzman and Jack Reetz, seniors at Kennebunk High School, as the Southern Maine Athletic Association Good Citizens for the Class of 2018. They will be honored at a banquet on April 10 along with other recipients from the SMAA conference. Schwartzman is a member of the National Honor Society, Peer Helpers and the Class of 2018 Executive Council. She mentors middle school girls and is an active participant on the Unified basketball team. Schwartzman is a captain of the KHS girls’ soccer and lacrosse teams. She was presented the Dartmouth Book Award as a junior and was one of six athletes in Maine to be named a U.S. Lacrosse Academic All-American in 2017. She is the daughter of Joseph and Edie Schwartzman of Kennebunk. Reetz was a member of his class’ Executive Council for two years. He has played soccer for four years and received all-conference academic honors. A four-season member of the ski team and captain for junior-senior years, Reetz was named most improved player in 2014-2015 and received the coach’s award during his sophomore and junior years for his team spirit and leadership throughout the season. He also plays lacrosse and is a member of the National Honor Society. He is the son of Jack and Paula Reetz of Kennebunk.
