Copper Knight registered an unforgettable sixth win at the course, while Winter Power made it three from three in the Coolmore Wootton Bassett Nunthorpe Stakes (Group 1) Making it a memorable week for Easterby. Balding replied with three of his own winners. Hoo Ya Mal and Harrow took home one victory each before Valley Forge stayed on best to gain victory in the Sky Bet Melrose.

Friday 14th May Balding opened his account with two winners, as Spanish Mission gave him a win in the Yorkshire Cup (Group 2). Boardman answered for the Great Habton team.
